Yep 6-3 almost 7-3 then smith goes down. Then we turn around and draft Haskins and Guice in 2019 huge busts but it all worked out and we got Chase Young!!

I though we were going to make the playoffs, then Smith got hurt. Our offense sucked all year but he held it together.

I was nervous as a cowboys fan when y’all got Smith. If he would’ve stayed healthy the NFC East would’ve been competitive and fun to watch.
First half of the 2018 season was fun. My Skins led the NFC East for roughly 6 weeks. Was 6-3 until Alex broke his leg. Then more injuries continued. Then Dirty Sanchez. Finished 7-9
HTTR.. They'll always be the Redskins. Forcing the Redskins to drop a name nobody wanted changed doesn't sit well with me and, that's coming from a Native American.

This game is gonna go down as one of those great Redskins victorys vs Dallas. Just like the 2006 blocked kick, 2005 Monday night miracle, both NFC Championships in 1972 and 1982, both 2012 games, and alot more.

Alex Smith was the heart of this team. He helped kc en route to there superbowl. Great player but even greater fighter in life. Much respect. Hope he can come back loved watching him compete.

Alex Smith is very underrated. I wish he played more. From a Giants Fan!
He's sort of a tragic figure in NFL history. His first 6 years in San Francisco, 6 different offensive coordinators, can't get comfortable. Finally plays well, gets hurt and replaced by Kaepernick. He goes to Kansas City, has some good years but they can't win in the playoffs, replaced by Mahomes. He goes to Washington, is having a good year, then wrecks his leg. I really hope his story isn't over.

It was the first time since 1993 that the Cowboys-Redskins game was televised on CBS.
Fun facts- they had the exact same score too, and in both games the redskins scored off of a returned fumble.

I'm not. We were down our Pro Bowl o-lineman plus another one in addition to the players we were already missing in that game (Crowder, Dunbar, Richardson, Thompson).

I've been a Skins fan since 1986. This was the first game I'd ever been to in person. The sound of the ball bouncing off that upright will forever be one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. HTTR!

I’m a red skins fan too. I went to the panthers v redskins game in 2019. It was in Charlotte NC. It was the last win Washington had as having the name Redskins.

Dallas never could beat Washington when lead by Alex smith. Even on one leg. 2-0.

You know what's funny, around this point in the season, I was annoyed because I didn't feel Alex Smith was doing enough. We we're winning, but I was still salty about Kirk leaving, so I was mad anyway. Around this point in the 2019 season, I was missing Alex Smith immensely. Didn't understand how good I had it till it was gone.
A lot of people don’t realize Alex Smith led teams always collapse at the end of every season. That’s why the Chiefs shipped him out. They would start 6-0 or 5-1 every season and finish 9-7 and lose first round in the playoffs.

This game was a great finish but the Redskins outplayed the cowboys and missed opportunities in the red zone. Especially Alex Smith not completing passes in the end zone

Redskins went 8-2 this year leading their division. Then Alex smith got hurt in that last win then went 8-8. Didn't win again and have sucked ever since. Alex smith is underrated. If he would of stayed healthy the redskins would of been in the playoffs that year and everything would of been different. This is coming from a Steelers fan Alex smith is really really good. Better then most people think he is
