This Bears defense was right up there with Legion of Boom and the Super Bowl Broncos defense. It was probably the Bears 2nd best defense in their history behind 85. Even better than the 06 Bears defense.
Bears defense was still a top 5 last season. The offense was way too dependent of the defense. If it wasn't for the defense, the Bears wouldn't even have won the division and made the playoffs. Hopefully Foles will help our offense at least to score some TDs.

Cortez Trubisky was at this time still getting his fundamentals right. A lot of his throwing power was generated from his arm and less from his hips and torso. You should watch Brett Kollman’s video on Trubisky where he compares Trubisky’s throwing motion with Peyton Manning’s. It explains why Trubisky was so poor in this game given the shoulder injury.

After the Monday Night shootout with the Chiefs, Goff has never been the same. In the last 21 regular season games, Jared Goff has 28 TDs and 22 Interceptions, Rams are 12-9 in that stretch; keep in mind that the Rams under Sean McVay were 21-6 in Regular Season games before that Monday Night Game.

I'm a suffering Bears fan and I remember even after this game I was still terrified we'd lose again to Green Bay the following week. The week 1 debacle remained stuck in my head even tho both teams had gone in completely opposite directions since. 2018 was a surprisingly good year for my team but it's not one I remember fondly since it started and ended with 2 of the worst losses in team history and ultimately gave us nothing but false hope in the long run.
