Like it how you changed and turned the horse trailer into a little ceramic retail shop. Very nice. I like your Christmas themed things en de doodle ceramics. Pretty cheerful and colourfull.
    Thanks for this little tour.

Your work is amazing. I don't understand why your snowmen did not sell. They are adorable! All of them!!

Thank you, Donna. I thought they were cute. 😀 I sold a lot of other miscellaneous items, so it seemed odd that those items didn't interest the buyers.

Hi. That was interesting. I didn't think it would be so big. Well done, you. I remember watching the videos for a lot of those pieces. Some of them I've tried to make, or at least use the technique you did. I love the snowmen candle holders and also the purple mugs that you said didn't sell. A lot of the other pieces as well.

Yes, it holds more than people think. And I've decided it's impossible to tell what will
sell!!! 😀 And I forgot to mention in the video, that I did sell a lot of stuff at this show. Ot was my best show of the year. 🤔 😀

I can’t believe some of the things that didn’t sell!!! I know you’ve been doing this forever but remember to put a few pieces of greenery in planters, silk flowers in the vases soap on the soap holders etc. Sometimes people can’t see things for what they are or don’t know what things are for.

    • @WildAcornsArtStudio
      @WildAcornsArtStudio  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Thanks! Yeah, I did do some of that, although I forgot the plants for the planters! 😀 I have a whole bunch of silk flowers I take to shows. Some of them are getting pretty sad looking. 😀

I love your pottery..and your tutorials. I’ve made several of your ideas but no fear, I’m a hobby potter so my friends and family have to suffer my things. 😏

I don't have any luck selling locally either. Stuff sells but at dirt cheap prices. I think your trailer is a fantastic idea!

Thank you! ❤️. Do you sell better with online sales? I struggle with that because of the shipping. I may try listing some of the smaller items, though. I know those sell well online for others.

I haven't tried the online method yet but I think I'm going to have to give it a try. Some of the folks I follow on Instagram, Facebook etc, have stores on Etsy but they are only open for limited times. They seem to do pretty well with that approach. Stir up interest by only having the store open at a specific time in a specific day for say 24 hours. I am going to try this because I don't want to have to produce a lot of stuff on someone else's schedule. I make what I like to make and it varies a lot. Large platters, large bowls, one-off mugs with unique handles, yard art..... Whatever seems to move me at the moment.
I really love your talent! The painting you do in your pieces is fantastic. That kinda stuff just isn't 'in' me so I really appreciate seeing your artistic gift. I love water color painting but just can't seem to get the hang of doing it, especially on clay!

@mkm1225 I applaud your thoughts on making only what you want to make, because I struggle with that. I feel like I need to make what sells at my shows, and it's frustrating. My goal for next year, is to focus more on what I 'want' to make, rather than what the populous wants me to make. But it's hard. I am SO envious when these sellers Lita their items on Etsy and they sell out in an hour! 😀 They are the sellers who have thousands of followers, though, and I think that is the key. They do work hard to get those followers, so they definitely do deserve their success. They are inspiring, aren't they? 😀 Thanks for watching. ❤️

Maybe take a tour of other potters at a gallery or good art show and check their prices.? Most of yours are at a 50% sale price or lower, at least around my area. I love your work, but you need to start paying yourself a living wage. There were eight potters at the tiny rural show I just did, and not a mug to be found for less than thirty dollars. Most were priced 35 to 60 . Any highly detailed paintings like you do can price them even higher. Your pieces are gorgeous!

Thank you! ❤️ I agree with you, but where I live, buyers are frugal, to say the least. 🤔 Numerous people picked them up, looked at the price and then set them down. Several buyers asked if I would lower the price for the one that was slightly smaller. I was frustrated at that point, and just said no. 😉 I'm sure they'll sell eventually. But you're right, I'm not making much money off of my work. That part is frustrating. Maybe online sales would be better.

I’m thinking people are looking at your beautiful pottery as a garage sale. I would be raising my prices - they are worth much more then your pricing them - making them pieces of art. Do you know what I mean? (Someone told me the same thing years ago) so I raised my prices and pieces started to sell 😊

I sold a couple of them this week, but I think there's two left in my Etsy shop. (WildAcornsPottery)
