I can hardly believe that 452 people gave a "thumbs down" to this song, and video. It sure made me do some soul searching. There will never be another Joey Feek. Missed, and loved, by so many. Bradley Walker is one of the best.

I think some people are taking the lyrics wrong in this song. I believe it’s okay to want to make sure our faith is strong enough and to want to make sure we are saved and doing what Christ would want us to do in order to make it to heaven. I don’t Believe she said anything wrong in her words in this song she was ill and she wanted to make sure she was strong enough in her faith coz sometimes the devil lies and make us doubt our salvation especially when we go through sickness or trails etc She was a beautiful soul and had such a beautiful voice so pure ….God bless everyone who here’s her sing, it will bless you!🙏🙏🙏

I just last week found some videos of Joey’s LIfe & struggling with cancer. She is a testament to dying with a legacy. Her voice is so beautiful & she was such a beautiful lady. I hope if I’m ever faced with something that’s horrific I only want to be as strong as she was. R.I.P. Joey
My first time hearing this beautiful song. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My beautiful son died from covid in Dec 2021. I cry daily and miss him so much. He was loved and appreciated by so many. I think of him as my guardian angel. Dear Lord help me to be strong and appreciate my time on this earth.

See, when Joey was lost, it tore my HEART out, as I and my brothers had just lost our Mother of 91 years, the day after Christmas, 2015. My middle older brother is battling Stage 4 lung Cancer. Still praying for a miracle. We know where Mama is. Lost my husband back in 93', when he was 33 yrs. to young. and my Daddy the year after. I had breast cancer in 97'. I am almost a twenty yr. survivor. I know my Lord and Savior, and know we all will be together one day. You can make it through all this. Just put your Faith and Love, in our Lord and Savior. Trust, and Obey. He will see you through. It will be hard along the way, but he will deliver, he has the POWER, the GLORY, and LOVE to carry us all, ALL THE TIME... God Bless Everyone, and Keep us All in His Ever Lasting ARMS...

After my wife passed, this song sure hit home.
This is now one of my favorites, although it brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. I can't seem to understand why such sweet loving people have to leave so early in life. I lost both my parents in 2008, now I'm very sick and and very concerned. If something should come of it, I don't know. I would want this song played for me, if my time comes.

Why waste time worrying about the dislikes? Just ignore them and enjoy the great music.
The problem I had with the song is theological: "Was my faith in your grace strong enough to save me?" If you are asking that, you may not understand salvation. Your faith being strong enough is not what saves you. God giving you spiritual life when you are "dead in trespasses and sins" is what saves you. We must depend upon Christ alone for salvation. He paid the full price on the cross. There is nothing we can add to what He did. His perfect righteousness imputed to us is the only way we can be justified before God. "Salvation is of the Lord." No where does the Bible say that the strength of our faith has to be strong enough to save us. We either believe in Christ's death and resurrection and are saved, or we don't.
@@jonathansmith9946 Hi Jonathan! I too am a strong Evangelical, degreed in Theology--but the song does not bother me. I, too, am saved by grace through faith in Jesus. And, please remember, James writes: "Without faith, it is not possible to please God." The needy person cried out to Jesus: "I believe, Lord, help me to believe more!" And that is what this song might mean.

This is a beautiful song I'm a fan of Bradley Walker i listen to this track at this time of year it brings me back to 2015 when my wife died from cancer in 5 short weeks in similar circumstances Joey Feek was a beutyfull lady and such a clear voice so sad ,rest in peace Joey ❤

You listened to the whole song, didn't you, so is it that it's a song asking GOD a question that bothers so many or has hard rock, acid rock, the "new age music" fried the circuits in your collective brains until you cannot appreciate real music? Music isn't noise! Music soothes, it calms, it can excite, and good music is timeless! How many of these other harsh and jarring kinds of NOISE will still be playing as long as a good Beethoven, Bach, and so many other old masters of music still are!?

What a voice! Very moving song. Don't know the extent of this man's handicap but I applaud him for the messages he sings. We meet a young woman who has a mechanical heart valve and she talked of her medical history and all the prescriptions she has to take. She talked about a baby she aborted because the doctors told her it was seriously deformed sure to those prescriptions. Who knows that if only she had not done that what really might have been. Only God. I pray for her. Thank you for the songs. Very touching.

Joey feek a shining light all the way to the end. I seriously dont know how Rory can deal with the kind of loss of losing her. When I first heard about Joey which is been a couple weeks ago. Here on TH-cam ran across one of her videos and her voice blew me away. And I found out that she passed away from cancer a few years ago but it hit me like a ton of bricks. And watching through the interviews of Rory since then it's astounding how strong he is. If that happened to my wife it would definitely break me.

Growing up in Athens, Alabama, Bradley Walker began singing in church but soon graduated to national television when The Oak Ridge Boys invited him to sing on the “Nashville Now” show when he was only 10 years old. Getting into the music business is a challenge for any young hopeful; but for someone born with Muscular Dystrophy, who has spent his whole life in a wheelchair, it might seem especially daunting. However, Walker has never been one to let anything deter him from his goals, and he credits the support of his parents with fueling his drive to succeed. “Somebody has to put that in you,” he says. “I’m thankful that Mama had the strength to put that in me at an early age because without that I don’t think I’d be here right now. I try to let nothing hold me back. I know it’s cost her a lot of sleepless nights a lot of times when I would get in my vehicle and drive to Nashville to go to the Station Inn to hear some good music or go to the Opry and hang out. I love it.” Possessing both a fierce, creative spirit and a determined, practical streak, Walker got an education and went to work as a Material Analyst at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant while plotting how he would succeed in the music business. He has worked his day job while driving his custom van to Nashville to meet with songwriters, play gigs and pursue his dream of landing a deal and making it in the music industry. Along the way, he made a lot of friends and earned the respect of Nashville’s top music makers who were impressed not only by Walker’s evocative voice, but also his work ethic, playful sense of humor and easy-going charm. One of his biggest fans was the late Joey Feek, who requested he sing at her funeral after her brave battle with cancer came to an end. It was there gospel legend Bill Gaither first heard Walker sing and was so impressed he signed him to a record deal shortly after. Call Me Old-Fashioned, his first recording with Gaither Music Group, was produced by Joey’s husband, Rory, and accompanied by a DVD filmed in the couple’s barn.
