Fantastic review Andy! If anyone has any suggestions on what they would like to see in their ultimate budget night vision, or on ways we could improve the Nightfox Vulpes. We'd love your suggestions!
Hmm there's a thought....for me, take the optical zoom of the whisker, and adjustable ir focus, add the lrf of the vulpes, (possibly change the led ir for a vcsel laser so we could see and identify animals out to say 400-500m without adding torches) Range finder would be better if it worked out to say 600+m like most others. Size a bit smaller than the vulpes ideally, twin rechargeable batteries like the vulpes is great. Most sensitive sensor to ambient light, good wrap around eye piece with comfortable to view screen. 👍👍👍basic design brief would be see further l, and range find further while maintaining compact form factor, primary purpose, scanning large open areas for predators such as fox etc.
Im really new to all this. I have a great air rifle with sights but can you explain how you use the air rifle with the Vulpes like this. I am taking it you also need a night vision scope on the rifle, but how do you have the sight on the screen. Sorry I'm being naive
Nice review Andy, you still using this one, have you seen/ used the whisker,? seems another good option, optical zoom and wide field of view, adjustable ir focus etc. Cheers
They're not moving around because of nerves, they're moving around because you're wounding them with your shot instead of making a clean kill. Lying still but twitching a leg? - maybe then you can say it's nerves. These are just animals suffering. Which is totally fine if you're ok with that but let's not pretend it's just nerves 😂 Otherwise, great review.

Ill buy one of the current ones for now until you make the "nightfox hunter!!"
Great suggestions! I'll be sure to pass them on to the team and see what we can do. Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas!@@stevo1166
Hi Andy.
Go into the menu settings, and change the Limset stamp to ON. this will then add the Rangefinder distance to the video output.
Excellent review Andy - thanks

Hi Great video what’s the maximum distance you can see using IR on max power ?
Is the LRF flashing beam visible to the rats or other animals?
