saw them in may and december. lost my shoe at the may concert, went back in after everyone left and got it. i still wear that dirty, torn-to-shreds pair of low-tops all the time cause it someone points out their terrible condition, i have a good story. best crowd ever.
Agreed, a lot of bands would kill to have the attention Pup has after only two LP's. Look how long it took Menzingers or Jeff Rosenstock to get where they are at.
You have no idea how charged i am towards the end of 'If this Tour Doesn't Kill You', and then DVP just doesn't come. Nice to hear the ins and outs though Stefan, sounding great man! Keep it real.
that story just made me love the album more and more proud that i could hear it now and tell my friends. and i just love that his mates are also there singing. its like a camaraderie. I fucking love you guys
Saw them live once...didn't know who they were, and I fell in love. Super energetic, and honestly stole the show from Thrice for me. Their set was fucking awesome. Reservoir, DVP, Dark Days, Mabu...great songs.
Just me or did anyone know, that the transition with these two songs, you can't even notice it, "If this tour doesn't kill you" ends with the same note, that begins "DVP" which makes me love then even more. Intentional or not, I love it.
Most exciting Canadian band by far. Saw them on their last tour... I can't wait till they pass through again - its so cool to see the new album getting so much coverage.
We got The Dream is Over on promo at the record store I work in. By far one of my favorite albums from this half of the year and I actually like it better than Holy Ghost by Modern Baseball…
Wow. Rock can't be dead as long as there's bands like Pup or the Dirty Nil. You guys should come to Germany, please. BTW: had no idea Kevin Owens plays drums. :-)
reitnoc canada is killing all types of rock music with PUP, Pkew Pkew Pkew, The Dirty Nil, Mac Demarco, Alvvays, Billy Talent, Protest The Hero, Alexisonfire, Godspeed You! Black Emperor
I want to see them so badly, but the only place they're playing around me any time soon that I know of is Bluesfest. Sadly I don't have the money to spend on a day ticket for only one band I'd like, sighh :~p
Have seen them live this year :O As Opener for Frank Turner :D first time the sound was so fucked up you couldn't hear the singer :/ Second time was fucking brilliant :D
i really want to see them all three danforth music hall shows because they have become one of my favourite bands and they are from my home city but 3 nights at 30 bucks each is a lot of money
How's aboot fuck that cyst ehhhh? Just say sooorryy to that hoser fuckin hemmorage ehhh!! You guys are gonna take the world and you'll always be humble about it. After Phx, AZ show if u guys don't wanna blow $ on a hotel y'all buds are so allowed to crash with my fiance and I. I drummed in local bands Humiliation and Detached Objects and although these guys do Molly/blow before our sets I always catch the boot for being "too much to handle" .......never missed a single beat ehhh??!!! I am #billbruford. Sooooory for the ok, how's aboot we get ourselves some poutine ehhhh??...
This dude needs to learn how to properly scream that’s the whole reason why his vocal chords went to shit he blew them out. It’s like taking a car, putting a brick on the gas pedal while it’s in park. Something is gonna break or blow up eventually. A lot of hardcore singers practice screaming like it’s an art. He needs to take some notes
Shoutout to the guy who held my glasses for me so I could pull my pants up in the pit at Delmar Hall
i saw ur comment about needing a belt for their shows on another vid i was so confused lmao
This is good but "If this tour doesnt kill you" and "DVP" should always be played together without break!
AlexSuperTramp I was expecting that transition and it really threw me when DVP didn’t start immediately lmao
I literally can't listen to either song any other way. It's heresy.
Just like we will rock you and we are the champions.
You gotta give Zach a break man😂
agree, both work so perfect together
These songs are sad and fun, I fucking love it
heard FIDLAR?
Sober, amirite!
I seriously need to see them live and party my brains out
id fuckin die that night
+Tyler Ebert id fucking die, reincarnate as a tree and find a big strong lumber jack to kill me all over again
Saw them in July, partied like hell, seeing them again in November, it's gonna be a fucking riot. These guys are hellishly good live.
saw them in may and december. lost my shoe at the may concert, went back in after everyone left and got it. i still wear that dirty, torn-to-shreds pair of low-tops all the time cause it someone points out their terrible condition, i have a good story. best crowd ever.
may 11th. second time.
Just realized that the new album is called 'The dream is over'. Makes sense after seeing that interview.
r/whoosh
there's so much put into this, it's unreal. Bands like these are the ones I bring up when people say rock is dead, or dying.
if you like pup, their friend Jeff rosenstock might also be your speed!
@@Aleph-Noll Jeff rosenstock is the goat !!!
@@deejloaf hard agree. the most consistent artist of the century in my opinion. all rips no skips every record. rock on brother haha
they seriously don't get the attention they deserve
yep
+StaySkeptic dude, this only has 33 thousand views.
Agreed, a lot of bands would kill to have the attention Pup has after only two LP's. Look how long it took Menzingers or Jeff Rosenstock to get where they are at.
i think their audience not growing that fast because their sound is everything in between, if you know what i mean, not just one sound/spesific genre
They are now!!!
You have no idea how charged i am towards the end of 'If this Tour Doesn't Kill You', and then DVP just doesn't come. Nice to hear the ins and outs though Stefan, sounding great man! Keep it real.
I feel ya. Playing these two songs in sequence is just the best.
They have one of the most distinct sounds of all modern bands.
the boys are out for a fuckin rip there buddy
that story just made me love the album more and more proud that i could hear it now and tell my friends. and i just love that his mates are also there singing. its like a camaraderie.
I fucking love you guys
Saw them live once...didn't know who they were, and I fell in love. Super energetic, and honestly stole the show from Thrice for me. Their set was fucking awesome.
Reservoir, DVP, Dark Days, Mabu...great songs.
Same for me. Went to see Beach Bunny as an opener for them and came out of the concert with a new favorite band.
Brad Marchand is a bitch. Blues ftw
love listening to bands that have rehearsed. so important.
Just me or did anyone know, that the transition with these two songs, you can't even notice it, "If this tour doesn't kill you" ends with the same note, that begins "DVP" which makes me love then even more. Intentional or not, I love it.
It was intentional. On the album the If This Tour Doesn't Kill You goes straight into DVP, with that note being the connecting point.
Because all their songs sound the same and use the same chords
Thats why i love listening to full albums in order at least once. Theyre in that order for a reason, and can tell a cohesive story
This is becoming one of my favorite bands. Lots of bands are just a phase for me, but this one is sticking around!!
such a good band, a part of me is so happy that he's fighting and giving us good music despite his throat
amazing band
What a great song/recording. And 01:13.
Most exciting Canadian band by far. Saw them on their last tour... I can't wait till they pass through again - its so cool to see the new album getting so much coverage.
Great music, amazing people
So DVP means Don Valley Parkway?
yes
Gothelf Bros. Studios oh. I thought it was pup but written weirdly
And PUP means Pathetic Use of Potential :D
It's a road in Toronto.
Torontos major highway.
I am seeing them in a week with moose blood I am so excited
where are u seeing them?
in Rome
Annachiara , |-/
So much energy in thier live performances, i love it
I love them so much, they're coming to Chicago 2 days after my birthday so I'm hoping to see them for my 16th.
The dram is not dead.. i still listen to the wonderful, raw music the managed to accomplish! Thank you!
Just ran into this band through TH-cam's autoplay feature. I'm so glad that I did, these guys are great!
THEYRE SO GOOOOOD
new favorite drummer just cause of the jacket
Wow! Great fucking discovery, love the pummeling guitars
The greatest Canadian punk rock band there ever was, and ever will be.
We got The Dream is Over on promo at the record store I work in. By far one of my favorite albums from this half of the year and I actually like it better than Holy Ghost by Modern Baseball…
Raegan VanderMeer I agree, Holy Ghost was good but definitely wasn't MB's best. The Dream is Over is sick.
I just recently started listening to pup and modern baseball and they're awesome. Can u recommend me any other bands?
If you're into PUP and mobo, Ahmad, you'd like Joyce Manor, Turnover, and Chewing on Tinfoil!
Ahmad Faris Sorority Noise, Tigers Jaw, The Front Bottoms, Joyce Manor, Basement, and there's more that I can't think of rn
Listen to Camping In Alaska. they're not big, not serious and a death banned. But they have a special place in my heart.
Is there more to that story about the cyst, or is the band just a ticking time bomb until his voice gives out completely?
he had surgery and they're back on tour and everything's good. they're still going strong
Oh good, it feels like they left out that bit in the video and I was afraid I'd missed some big announcement about the end of PUP or something.
NotQuite Videos I would've cried. I literally just found these guys.
hi too
Anime!Anime! Anime! Same. I looked them up because they're playing with Brand New in September.
I NEED TO SEE THEM LIVE
Canada is making up for muricas failures with music. Thanks northern neighbors lmao.... And the Kevin Owens line.....i cant unsee it now
I wish Weezer didn’t start do covers, they’re one of the rock bands that were still chugging along until last year
Toby Maguire has a kick ass band 😂
Then aunt may knocking the door. “Ohh Peter...”
yewww he's rocking the Macbeth guitar strap.
I really love them and I want to see them live, but after learning the origins of the album name, I'm actually quite concerned for Stefan's health 😂
Smh
Best thing you can do then is to see them live and sing and scream your fucking lungs out for one night haha, I'm in the same boat as you
Thats right see em live and scream your lungs out so stephan doesnt have to. Thats my plan anyway.
"If This Tour Doesn't Kill You" sounds like Your Favorite Weapon-era Brand New
dvp is just the kind of fucking song that makes me want to not give a fuck about anything this world
Nailed the filming!
i need to know how the issues with his vocal cords were resolved!
Magic
Beer
w4tch3d__ _ biodegradable *both*
i love yall so much
Godddddddd this band is genius
Im seeing them two days in a row in December, I've never been more stoked to be alive.
i wish i could give this more thumbs up's.
seeing them in february for the 3rd time!!
just realized they wrote _If This Tour_ for each other
this is the best sounding live version of DVP out there folks
That’s good that Stef ended up fixing his vocal cords and it sounds like he doesn’t strain them as much live when he sings.
great band, i love this song
I want to see them so badly, but the only place they're playing around me any time soon that I know of is Bluesfest. Sadly I don't have the money to spend on a day ticket for only one band I'd like, sighh :~p
lit
drums are mixed too low I NEED SOME BACK BEAT SON
Have seen them live this year :O As Opener for Frank Turner :D
first time the sound was so fucked up you couldn't hear the singer :/
Second time was fucking brilliant :D
めっちゃいいなー!!!ロックを救ってくれ
the singer looks like what i imagined him to be
PUP the best band to ever exist
Pup are so fuckin badass man
best live DVP ever, for realz
so excited for LP3 jfc
fucking brilliant
I didn't know that Grant from Ghost Hunters was in this band.
i really want to see them all three danforth music hall shows because they have become one of my favourite bands and they are from my home city but 3 nights at 30 bucks each is a lot of money
that citizen shirt though
I wonder how they sound acoustic
Topanga
DVP has me going OFF
That citizen shirt is rad
fcking amazing
pup man, my fucking heroes.
OMG...fucking awesome :O
One of the only times they played this live in Eb and not D Standard.
Fucking great.
Daym
The FUCKING HARMONIES!!!!!!
ok nevermind these guys rock
Ahoy beat keep it up.
0:19 --> Song starts
Drummer rockin' that Great Lakes Brewery shirt. 666!
I keep finding more rad ass shit they made
To me it is B52's meets Suicidal Tendencies, RAW but unique and strangely catchy.
m. A. G. i. c
6minutes video and I still dont know the bassist face look like
Gracioushaggai the reservoir video has his face getting slashed
when did DareDevil start a band?
is this the same studio that pup played at
Guitarist is a young Kenny Vaughan
so we all agree the title counts as clickbait, rigtt?
they’re so good and so underrated.
HAWAIAN RED FRUIT PUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
is this indiecore?
Punk rock
Who cares? Just enjoy it!
it's how pop punk should sound. punk with a slice of pop.
yes
I want to like it but it's at 420 and I think that's funny
I want to get high with those songs
There just isnt one song on any of their albums that isnt good
Is that Tobey Maguire on vocals lmfao
They are so good it's gross.
Snare's too quiet
gotta say kevin pirerra is good at music
This dude needs to learn how to properly scream that’s the whole reason why his vocal chords went to shit he blew them out. It’s like taking a car, putting a brick on the gas pedal while it’s in park. Something is gonna break or blow up eventually. A lot of hardcore singers practice screaming like it’s an art. He needs to take some notes
I love this but I don't know if it's live. It feels like the studio version at least D. V. P. But it's probably cause he lost his voice.
It’s live, he got surgery, and DVP sounds different from studio. They’re just really good!!
Not very good mixing but love the band
Stefan's guitar is way too loud and bass is way too quiet, indie88 mixed this very poorly
I think we got it better on our second Pup session th-cam.com/video/jmL7bguIkuY/w-d-xo.html
