- The EFF has written to the ANC about its intention to join the Government
of National Unity. EFF Secretary-General Marshall Dlamini says the
party will join GNU on the condition that the DA and the FF Plus
are excluded from the partnership.

They also prefer to forget that one of the strongest and most outspoken anti apartheid voices in this country was Helen Zille and the Black Sash. EFF supporters this is a message to you. You are intellectually dishonest. EFF went from 10.80% (11%) to 9.52% (10%). A swing of 1 percentage point.
DA did not take any seats from ANC but moved from 20.77% (21%) to 21.81% (22%) a swing of 1 percentage point taking back 3 of the 5 seats Maimane lost to FF+. In turn FF+ moved from 2.38% (2%) to 1.36% (1%). All these three parties moved by 1 percentage point.
The people are not a monolith and did not agree on a single party. The ones that were rejected are not in parliament. ANC with the highest swing of 17pp from 57.5% to 40.2% is still forming a government.

So I guess the ANC didn't accept to push the EFF's cardinal pillars

Nothing permanent in politics. In 1994 IFP was very strong in KZN, by 2009 they were annihilated & in 2014 it got worse. In 2024 they are back leading the Province albeit in an uneasy coalition. MK party is here for a quick time, not a long time. 2029 there will be another re-orientation…disillusioned voters in all parties will be finding new political homes.

I agree fully with you my brother but some of us have accepted that the ANC of RamaSofa does not have the interests of black South Africans at heart. They look set to align with the people that implemented apartheid and colonisation here in SA.
We are old enough to remember that white people in SA called themselves Europeans before 1994 and that is who the ANC of RamaSofa prefers.
But why the agreement of intent with anc and eff. Does it mean that anc had an agreement of intent with da? If so, Helen Zille was right. Further, what about the parties except for da and ff+, that have already joined the current gnu. Does it mean that they have to be re-invited by anc and eff under the new agreement of intent? Or put differently, is eff looking for a coalition with anc and rope in one or two smaller parties. Can eff be clear on this proposal.

The ANC and DA are both moderate while the EFF is radical. An ANC-DA coalition would give stability, peace, and economic growth. An ANC-EFF coalition will not be stable because they will be at loggerheads over radical policies that the EFF wants to implement. This is not a good scenario
