    Jordan! This is such a beautiful tribute to your parents and I definitely did not cry. They have such a magical garden. I can only speak for myself, but a tour would be so wonderful! How inspiring.

    I would love to see more of your parents' garden. Also I grew tomatoes in my greenhouse last year and I used the same method of just tying the plant as it grew to a single vertical length of twine. What I didnt' do was leave two or three side shoots. Actually I probably did only because I couldn't quite reach the upper side shoots because as you know indeterminate tomatoes can grow upwards of 10 feet. Thanks for sharing great videos.

    Wow! You are such a great optimist for Gaia. I would live to be a part of a tour.....my garden is on the Dunbar in Bloom tour in June, as we, like your parents have filled the front and back yard with plants. Nit a blade of grass to be seen. I think I have the same greenhouse and put in about 14 plants but I still have sone younger starts I'm going to tuck in now I've seen this video. Rock on, Jordan, you're brilliant!

    Jordon, Tomatos seem to dislike hot 85 plus weather. If in a greenhouse does it not discourage it? I also remove all the leaves and leave 2=3 stems but they are outside. And when it gets over 85, I have to use a sunscreen cloth to save them from burning up. Im in a 5b zone

    Wow! I'm going to try this for the first time this year. I don't have the resources for a greenhouse or grow tent so I'm trying it against my house. Will the heat trick work well for peppers too?

    Absolutely beautiful! But the idea of growing tomatoes in a greenhouse here in Texas - well, we'd have roasted tomatoes for sure! But the trellising points are well-taken. I've found that growing on 2-3 main stems is the sweet spot for growing in cages too (big ones here, like 6 ft concrete reinforcing mesh towers).

    • @MindandSoil
      @MindandSoil  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! I can understand it being a bit hot in Texas! I'm here in Canada so it's a bit cooler :)
      2-3 stems is a great way to go ! Nothing like fresh tomatoes!

    So this maybe a dumb question but plants like tomatoes and cucumbers that grow fruits off the vine, would it be possible to just keep harvesting and pruning forever or does the plant die even if you had it in a controlled climate
