@@EricD-pj4wp She is averaging 16-5-6, one of the top shot blockers for her position and has better overall stats than DT sans turnovers though DT has a worse turnover to assist ratio thanks to her awful 1 dime per game. By all accounts, she is overall a decent to good player, just not a great one yet and like most rookies struggles to stay consistent. She has to improve her handles, move better off ball and add a floater to her arsenal.
She plays on a team where the coach has failed two nr.1 draft picks to gel and is also one of the worst teams in the league for the past 3 seasons. It does not help that she had little time to train with the team because there was little time between the finals game and her WNBA debut.

Here's the issue - the make-up of the team. If you look at the landscape of the WNBA, there are a few things in common - the best teams have dominant, agile post players. The best teams have bigger, stronger players. Fever, as a whole, is a very small team. With Fagbenle out, they're even smaller. Because of this, they're getting pummeled on the boards and can't convert around the basket for easy 2s. Post players should be converted at 50% or higher. Boston is at 41.7% from the field, whereas, last season, she shot 57.8%. That's a huge dip in production. The entire team (including CC) needs to shoot a lot better. But not having the size, strength and agility to score in the paint is a huge hindrance. It just makes it that much more tough to be competitive in games against the upper echelon of teams (Liberty, Sun, Aces, Storm, Lynx)... they've played 13 games, and I believe 10 of them have been against the best teams in the league. They'll win games against the 'middle of the pack teams', but every game will be a grind because of not getting easy buckets, the inability to sustain defensive integrity for 24 seconds and the inability to secure 50-50 balls... Oh, and too many turnovers. Turnovers are empty possessions that cost games. Tonight, they weren't a factor, but everything else was.

@snave59 they had a better record without her. She couldn't guard a light post. She throws the ball away more than my kids throw away their vegetables. This chick is average at best, but on most nights, she's horrible. Does she have a lot of fans? YES. So at least she's winning there. You all get happy when she has a 30-point night. While there are players averaging 28 ppg. No, you're delusional. She is not all of the problem but is definitely a part of the problem. Instead of being a superstar, get better at your craft. She airballed in the paint. Why, because she has no mid range. Break all the records you want, but some of the greatest players didn't break records. They won games when it mattered. Maybe in 5 years, I'll feel differently.

@@michaelkees7303 "they had a better record without her" the seasons is not even at half time. They have also been a bottom team for the past 3 years. Disingenuous attempt at an argument when you have none. Boston is also terrible this season having drop-offs across the board when she should be improving as a sophomore. But let me guess, that is all CCs fault that Boston is terrible more games than CC at the moment, right?
CC is not horrible at all, you do not average 16-5-6 with 1 block and 1.5 steals as a horrible player, she would average something like the worst top draft busts many of whom could not even average 5-1-1. She has to work on her handles, add a floater and be a better defender but that was to be expected and something she herself admitted to. She had some bad games against the best teams. The Fever had a tough schedule playing mostly the top teams, Clark had little time to practice with the team before coming to them and had little rest between the finals and her WNBA debut.
"They won games when it mattered" nothing but an empty, vapid statement that is most assuredly based on the false narrative that she is not a NCAA title winner when other players like Larry Bird never won an NCAA title or MJ who never even came close to the final 4 after Worthy was drafted to the NBA.
