- Is Venti still worth it in the Fontaine patch? Why is everyone undervaluing him? I am making a deep dive if the game has changed into his favour and if you should consider pulling him even though Kazuha and Sucrose exist.

Venti was my first limited 5* 3 years ago, he'll always have a special place in my heart
I was around for his first banner and it was my first gacha game, so I was a absolute idiot who had no idea about pity and random spent my pulls on all 3 banners.
My favorite archon is Venti as you can guess from my profile, first venti banner I pulled for him and now I'm gonna pull for him again and his weapon cause I don't have stringless... Ehe

He’s my first 5* period, got him in my second ever event wish pull, lol. And I’m here trying to figure out if it’s worth building him (I started playing last week, AR29 at the time of writing this. Planning on staying completely f2p)
Venti is a great addition to any team, he makes exploration easier and his burst is really helpful. If you like him, get him.

If exploration is the only reason you want Venti then better get Scaramouche. If crowd control is the only reason you want Venti then you're better off with Kazuha. The truth is, Venti has been powercrept in both power and utility by other characters. Only pull for him if you really like him, otherwise SKIP!

Compared to Kazuha? Not at all. Venti needs his burst to group enemies together and he can't pull large enemies. Kazuha on the other hand only requires his E skill to clump enemies together and he can pull large enemies too. This is why Venti fell off the meta.

Venti makes like 90% of the game so much easier in a way that no other character does. He is a really great character to have in your roster when exploring the map or grinding through the lower abyss floors. His ability to just delete groups of smaller enemies and put all of their loot in a nice little pile for collection will save you massive amounts of time as you make your way through the game. And his ability to create updrafts of wind will let you get to places you otherwise couldn't and make exploration faster and easier. Venti is the best QOL feature in this game.
Also, he is extremely cute.

@@jakkubus dude i use 3 exploration character as a default on my team to 100% areas because its just convenient, overworld exploration doesnt really need that much dps compatibility having 1 or 2 imo has too much cd to deal with and having 3 is just a good middleground for example scara can fly for a pretty long distances but if youre like me youd use venti air, xiao ability and some gadets to cross mountains without climbing in the slightest bit you can say that its "counter intuitive" but then again, my xiao is a dps and venti cc and not to mention the elemental team resonance that decrease 15% agility consumption it makes up for a pretty good team for overworld exploration
I feel like Venti is just an incredibly nice quality of life pick for any account. He won't be the character that pushes you to a 36-star abyss, but he trivializes overworld, sucks in mob drops for easy collection, speedruns a lot of domains, enables certain aoe characters to *really* shine, and has solid exploration value between his updraft, gliding passive, potential anemo resonance, and bow challenges. Overall he just makes the game more comfy to play, and that holds value by itself.
he did help me with my first 36*! but i see what you mean, he truly is the archon of QOL
And then we have Kazuha: he makes difference on doing 36-star abyss, 20% sprint stamina passive, jump ability and also sucks enemies and items, it's weaker but it's not a burst, so can be used freely. Venti it's not bad, but Kazuha outshines him in the majority of the situations. And for whales Kazuha it's even better, because his constelations trully makes him stronger.
Venti lacks quality of life updates. That's the issue. He's a relic from a different time. He needs a buff. No archon should be overshadowed
@@carlosleite7011 I like Venti in Hyperbloom or Freeze. With Freeze he can suck in even large enemies, with Shenhe, Kokomi, and Ayaka the grouping of frozen large enemies was AMAZING. For Hyperbloom it just turns his burst into a bomb maker or aggravate missile launcher, while also just refilling his energy to full in an instant due to Raiden or Fischl giving him basically no down time ever. It's sad that I have wanted Kazuha, but I've never really needed him. I kinda hope he comes AFTER I go to C2 Nahida so my saving for that can be done, then I can go after other characters again.

Got him last year but he’s been the absolute hardest character to get for me. Venti really tested my patience. Three abysmal banners where I lost 50/50 at hard pity, then feverishly scrounged enough primos to get back to near 80 but the banner ended before Venti. came home 😭

For those who got to experience Venti when he first came out kudos to you... I wasn't one of the lucky few because I had missed out on his, Nahida's and Raiden banners, so I've been playing catch-up and I already said that I was going to pull for certain characters when their banners come about and Venti is one of those characters; regardless of what meta says or anyone says he is OP imo on my account. The team comps and all of his materials I've already preformed for is going to make my account that much more OP

I only have 60+ wishes left after Neuvillette, but I'm going to spend all of them on Venti. He's the very reason why I even started playing back in 3.1 - I absolutely love his design and character. I have no use for him whatsoever, no artifacts or materials, but I will go through it for him!

Personally, I use him in my Wanderer team when facing AOE content to replace Zhongli. Faruzan supercharges all anemo characters and Venti does a very respectable amount of anemo damage. Even if he only does 50% of Wanderer’s damage, that’s pretty much a 50% increase to your overall DPS which is a LOT. Surprisingly, DPS Venti is more useful than support Venti nowadays.

@@teenagesilver6512 Yes. Build with CRIT or attack weapon is preferable, 2pc atk/2pc anemo, with ATK/Anemo/CRIT as his main stats. For substats, first get enough ER to burst off cooldown, and then just focus on attack/crit. And of course don't forget to level up his burst.

Venti was the first character I REALLY wanted. His character, back story and design is so fun for me. I still enjoy playing him. I do however hope he gets buffed, I mean- they buffed Zhongli.
he doesn't need a buff! as i said in the video, his SUCC has been buffed very well & i think people are a bit stuck in the past with their opinions on venti; he honestly works WAY more often than people give him credit for

While he shines the most when it comes to groups of enemies, his skill can be pretty effective too when dealing with single-target opponents or bosses. While not always the best fit due to how clunky it can be, it does a decent amount of damage, and can really vaporize enemies when you have an element or two to work with. (I'd also say he's pretty good with Ei and Nahida, given how his skill and burst can take advantage of their off-fielding capabilities.)

I got Venti yesterday and I couldn't be any happier. It's more or less preference rather than about him being still good or not. I got so used to Kazuha's playstyle that Venti feels a bit too new for me. But one thing I love about Venti is even without elemental reactions, he still deals elemental damage (anemo in this case). Though, when it comes to exploration, I still prefer Kazuha.

I got Venti on his very first banner, right after I saw a video of him shooting arrows to some hilichurls lmao I just thought his arrows were so pretty 😂 that was my main reason to pull for him.
After I got Kazuha, I stopped using him, even in over world. But when it comes to the Abyss, I always pair him with Wanderer and Kazuha can be on the other team 💜
Kazuha is gonna take ages to rerun , venti's energy share and insane cc is gonna be an upgrade over sucrose , she carried me for 3 years but it's about time i got venti after rerolling him for fischl at the start of the game lol
yes indeed!!! you'll find venti's a MASSIVE QOL upgrade to your account overall, monotonous tasks will pretty much never be a chore anymore, & you'll find floors 9-10 much quicker too!
I will say venti isn't really a dedicated buffer like sucrose, he's a grouper, in content where he can't suck up enemies alone that well or in single target sucrose will always be the better option because of how much more damage she gives you, not to mention a bit of extra utility with her constellations, I plan on playing venti in a TF kazuha team with fischl and dmc/yaoyao because it seems pretty universally strong even in non ventiable chambers
@@Zythroxes i realized i didn't mention what team I'm focusing on , ayaka freeze , sucrose there is just carrying fav and vv , and while her grouping is ok , sometimes it just doesn't do what I'd want it to , i forgot about the energy share from venti and this vid reminded me of that , it will be very useful for my ayaka . Sucrose as i mentioned has carried for years and is one of my favorite characters , she just doesn't do a lot in freeze teams .

while this abyss isn't really for freeze i took my team for a spin in floor 11 and 12 first half

in floor 11 the cc isn't really necessary but it definitely made it so simple with one venti ult basically clearing the half in the defend the objective chamber
in floor 12 the cc wasn't as impactful ,in the floor with the mirror maiden and 2 anemo fatui girls yes they can get sucked up but sucrose with a lil positioning works just fine since they are frozen whether u use venti or sucrose and there is only 2 enemies max at the same time .
things i noticed are :
-- you can hit enemies pulled up by venti with ayaka charged attacks and E (idk if the E hits all the time ) but you can easily miss with shenhe tap E.
-- the venti positioning can be annoying if u have to dash away then back in and waste a cpl of seconds( if u change the rotation so u can get closer with shenhe E it doesn't feel great but can still work )
-- the strong cc saved my life when my characters were low hp but this won't matter when i get kokomi (also in general venti should feel much better with kokomi compared to mona )
-- the energy from venti when using proper rotation just works . not much i can say xD my ayaka only has 111%ER but i didn't feel like i lacked a lot of energy

Venti has been my favourite character from the start, I'm so lucky that he was my first 5* too back in 2.6, it goes without saying I maxed and triple crowned him. I would have pulled him even if he was the worst character gameplay- and power-wise, but he is far from it, his kit is literally game-changer for half of the game's content. I'm really really biased, but I agree he's more than worth it.
Best archon, fun personality that also hides a wise god (I absolutely love that the local drunk bard is actually the god the city is worshipping with a big ass church, sisters, hymns and a statue, and they have no idea), relatable laziness, love for storytelling, a heart-wrenching past, a hint of mysteriousness,
and most importantly: Look how cute he is!

@@Juice-chan Ohh, I'll definitely join like right now, I could write ESSAYS about Venti! (already kinda have on both discord and reddit lol) I'm interested in him and his lore to the point where I often check the cn text too (with a translator) to not to miss any nuances / see a different kind of translation, I even did this with the Skyward weapons for the Barbatos-Dvalin-Durin lore haha.
I've drawn him more times than any other Genshin character (I'm actually working on a piece that I'm going to submit to his official fan art contest) and just finished a short little animation of the Cathedral scene (it's here on yt, it's nothing much, but I Had to make a Venti animation already)
I only knew very little when I started the game, and I don't know why, but I thought Venti would be a typical "Gary Stu" / boring character, but after we talked to him the very first time I was like "omg, he's got a personality and I love him??" and then we find out who he really is + other shenanigans like him asking us to STEAL a holy item, having his own plans, being the playful cute thing he is, and that was it. From then on, he's been one of my favourite characters ever.
I get SO excited whenever he gets mentioned / gets screentime (I loooove that we see him in Kaeya's hangout too!), I even overthink things, like I found possible "connections" in the Narzissenkreuz quest to Mondstadt/Venti stuff, or even in the latest event cutscene (possible spoiler) where they say "a breeze beckoned me to Springvale, saying rest, wanderer", I immediately thought ohh, could it be Venti welcomed her there??
Sorry for the wall of text again, it's just I really never see anyone who shares my enthusiasm towards him!
@@Sirell_Sasakoi Oh i am definitely sure that breeze was Venti, i just watched a video called "Ten things you might miss from Waterborne Poetry" and it just made me love Venti even more.... he does so much but behind the scenes and it makes him underappreciated and that is NOT OKAY.! 😡 He is the kindest, gentlest, not to mention cutest archon and he keeps his nation safe & pure from filth. I mean c'mon the dude shaped mountains in the past, he is clearly hiding his true power... there is no way he is the "weakest archon" and this makes me intrigued for why he essentially let his gnosis get taken... It makes me wonder what he or the other archons are up to. His hidden lore + past is captivating I can't wait for more of a lore drop and his 2nd story quest- Maybe during 5.0 something about Natlan and Monds's past will give us some Venti crumbs. Fingers crossed.🤞

since day one (as of me starting genshin) ive wanted Venti, i finally got him cause i lost my 5050 on kazuhas banner and couldnt spend at the time. I love them both but Venti has a special place in my heart, i was actually really dissappointed to find out xiao doesnt synergise with him, :( i dont have many supports built for xiao so i was truly hoping they would work. However as stubborn as i am he can just be there on xiaos team for my own head canon due to the music that helped xiao 😂. I dont have any exp books for him tho so imma have to put in the work

I really want him, but I'm so conflicted on whether to get him or Furina since their banners are right next to each other. On the one hand, I could have a super grouper who creates updrafts and nearly solos some content with ease. On the other hand, I could have a water-walking sub dps who can heal with no downtime, always keeping me topped off. They're both so great for exploration and comfort, I can't decide!

& in my opinion, do you have neuvillette? i think whether you should get furina or not depends on if you plan to play plenty of fontaine units since i think she'll have synergy with them, & for all we know she could potentially be on the levels of xingqiu or yelan; but with venti, he's extremely flexible & makes your day-to-day life so, so much easier, plus he's ridiculously easy to build!
i think wait for the livestream since venti's banner will still be on by then, & even if you know what furina does through dreaming then it still gives you time to decide, do you have wanderer or ganyu? if yes to either of those then i would say get venti
Furina after last buffs are stronger than nahida so she's the new strongest character in the whole game venti yeah good unit but auto targeting some characters not being able hit enemies in his burst not able to buffing the other characters without signature is really hurting him if you don't have kazuha and don't planning to get kazuha you can get venti and be happy but if you're gonna get kazuha it's kinda unnecessary due to kazuha cc is strong as ventis even if it doesn't last that long but it suck enemies close to you so you don't need to run to enemies or try to place yourself in the correct spot to get maximum results
@@justarandom_guy3854I have Kazuha, Sucrose, and Jean so I'm not hurting for Anemo supports right now. I also have Wanderer and Zhongli (for pillars) so on the vertical exploration side Venti isn't offering much. Mostly Venti is just on the table because he's the strongest character in so much content, and because Skyward Harp is my only 5-star weapon and it would be great on him.
I'm pretty sure that, in practice, I'll like Furina more than Venti. The main reason I'm stuck is because Furina will re-run in like 3 patches after her release, but Venti has no promises and might not come out again until the next region. So if I get Venti now I might still be able to get Furina, but if I get Furina I won't know if I can get Venti.
Since furina is the new Archon, she is sure to have another re run after all other archons(probably 4.5 or sth)same situation as nahida, so i'd say go from venti first if you want to build your team quicker, but it's your choice
remember, furina will have rerun around 4.5
venti's rerun will be next year
Venti, Kokomi, Tighnari,, Keqing will work with Venti's burst- as long as you get keqing right inside the vortex. This comment is for players who don't have many must-have characters.

Venti is really helpful for that one monolith chamber on floor 11 and I would use him more then Kazuha if his burst epicenter was a little lower on the ground so I could hit enemies with characters like Childe

I started playing in 3.3 and got Venti recently for ny Ganyu. This might be my lack of Kazuzu or Sucrose speaking, but I don't regret one but in getting him. He's also really good for exploration too

I play Venti with Alhaitham actually, I love making his swirl wet then hitting with Alhaitham and then bloom damage everything while still in the burst
He's great to use with my current set! I'm working on my 5 stars and My current main is Yelan, I simply always have her burst running with high Hydro buff and its easily around 7,000. Venti works great with her and makes it so much easier to gain some extra hits
(Bennett and Layla are my other half of the team, and I tend to stack their elements together and get a ton of reactions)

When i started playing genshin impact and still didn't know how to play properly i pulled for Venti during his previous rerun, and he was my first 5 star in single pulls for fun. I thought that was so cool since first playing the game because of how much i wanted him when he spoke to Dvalin, and thought he was going to be unlocked automatically if i got far enough in the story

I've had him for a while but I need to finish building him. Now that I have Neuvillette set up, you've convinced me to get Venti up to snuff. I have Elegy for the End as well, Yelan will have to switch to Favonius. Looking forward to trying him with Wanderer, that footage was impressive! :D amazing!!! he really does contribute a lot of sub-dps when built properly, & he's quite straightforward to achieve that with; elegy's buff is really strong & it's an excellent weapon on him for sure, really suits him as his signature! i also use my elegy on venti & favonius on yelan, i only ever switch if i'm playing hu-tao double hydro (but if the enemies are shadowy husks then i just use venti as my last slot in a ht team anyway) he's wanderer's BIS teammate besides faruzan, he can capitalise on faruzan's buff nicely & is his best speedrunning option! you'll have a great time with them for sure!!!

I pulled for Venti and have 0 regrets. His cc is unmatched, and he's really useful for exploration. I'm currently playing him in a Ganyu, Kokomi, Layla team and it's so fun against smaller enemies.

I've posted on hoyolab stating that i will save for Kazuha (and C6 him but after watching several videos on kazuha's build and evaluating for late game team comps i've decided to just C2 him instead) and skip Wriosthley & Venti's banner but it's gotten to a point now that it's difficult to deal with enemies that spreads/or just they're far apart in general.
I'm still pretty early (i think @ AR 43 and i've not beaten the Liyue main quest) and i really need Venti for his CC.
I run a hyperbloom + quicken team so having Venti pulling those annoying pesks for those dendro cores to pop off will make my life easier.
Kazuha is the end goal but Venti will do for now till he returns home.
you're only AR 43 so don't sweat saving for C6 characters right now, but i absolutely recommend venti, you won't regret it; beef out that supports roster of yours!

I remember back in the day during 1.1, the Unreconciled Stars event, the last part was a combat event that was coopable. I was but a casual newbie and I decided to open coop for it. In came Venti mains. It blew my mind what his burst could do, it trivialised the entire event. I thought, "I have to get that guy". My first limited 5 star was Ganyu and my second limited 5 star was later Venti on his first rerun in 2021. Those two still carry me to this day. So many abyss chambers made trivial.

The main reason I'm not pulling him is really because I already have 2 good anemo units to use for the characters I want to use (Mainly Furina since I'm saving for her). I'm gonna be using Kazuha for teams like international, and I'll use Jean with Furina because she is probably gonna be the best support to use with Furina due to her instant teamwide healing and the fact she can also use VV for debuffing so yeah. I also don't have any characters for freeze comps and I heard those were some of Venti's best comps.
I have him c1 already. If it wasn't wriothesley now being my 2nd favorite character I would have pulled for more constelations. At least I have r2 elegy for him now.
I get so mad when people say Venti is bad.
About 80%of ennemies are affected by his ult still. With an EM build his quadratic swirls will do so much dmg.
And he is still a unit I prefer in ayaka freeze because even if you miss your initial cc due to your rotation the aoe is still there and you can then freeze ennemies and they will get sucked. If you miss your cc on the ennemies you want with Kazu that's it you have to wait for your cd to come back.

Ever since Hoyo announce that he will have a rerun this 4.1 I STARTED SAVING UP FOR HIMM, I need venti, because I need a battery and he's pretty good at that. I have venti now since I win the 50/50 (3 in a row) pretty lucky to say the least.

Does venti work with Diluc? Can I burst venti and then do dilucs burst and they will still be stuck in ventis swirl? Or does that make dilucs burst hit less since it just goes through them without pushing/hitting them multiple times?
you can use them together! diluc's NA's probs won't hit in the burst tho
I still remember when I first got him…right after I got my teeth cleaned with apple-flavored fluoride. He instantly synergized with my team and is amazing when it comes to exploration since I don’t have maple syrup samurai and the guy wearing a serving dish for a hat (no offense to those who main them).
All in all, I love the drunk little bard and I don’t think he’s leaving my main team for a while.

Venti and Lyney are on my team 9/10. Venti's Burst and Lyney's Skill or Burst KILL IT on the field.
Venti was the reason I keep the game playing. Though i play him main DPS despite having good dps characters😅

Rarely using him.. But he is very usefull with exploration.. His wind updraft helps a lot to reaching higher place... Pair it with Zhongli's hard rock dong

i think you should save for other units rn, his bow is really good but you don't even have characters like yelan or kazuha yet so better to save
edit; venti will still be as good as i said in the video without his sig weapon, but he can be even better with it

i think you can aim her skill but NAs might not hit against enemies lifted highly in the air
keq is a very quickswap char so dw about it too much, you should just be able to burst & get off your important hits

yep! venti's generally great in 11 & is always solid in 12, just in 9-10 he's very convenient since you can make your life a lot easier

Venti is honestly a must pull for early and over world players he’s not exactly as meta as the other archons but he’s still really useful and as a person who’s had him for 2 years he’s honestly my fave five star I don’t use him as much but I mostly use him for my archon team or to just look at him
fun fact; venti is actually better then zhongli meta-wise, & before dendro, used to be better then raiden! :D

i think with xiao, if you don't like the playstyle you don't have to pull for him; he doesn't synergise with venti unless venti's a lower level so his succ doesn't pull enemies as high, or if you're fighting enemies that are groupable but not liftable. i like the xiaoven ship myself & i have them next to eachother in the teapot, but otherwise if you'd only pull to have xiao together with venti or any other anemos then unfortunately there's not much synergy there
if you want some comps to force synergy with any certain anemo then lmk since there are a few workarounds
elegy's a great weapon but if you don't have the sigs of your main DPS characters then dw about it too much

venti is my beloved & my absolute favourite character of all time, not even just in genshin but character in general! nobody comes even a little bit close! he's cute, fun, friendly & cuddly! (& a femboy~)

world exploration was glossed over but venti was important to me early game and is to this day. the value there is irreplaceable with any other character. Him a zhongli make a great team for getting to higher places with less stamina or over ridges your struggling with, on top of buildings, ect ect.
this is mostly a meta review & OW is very easy which is why i only touched on it a bit, but he really is good for this too!
