@@JayCanuck007 Thanks, I think I'm far from the best. You may want to check out Uncut Angling, Clayton Schick and Fishing with Rod if you want some of the better Canadian Channels than mine.
So awesome!! I've spent many hours floating around our beautiful lakes wondering what was going on down there. Instant subsciber!! Great content! Much appreciated 👍🏻
Id love to see what wild trout are up to... I like tying my own streamers and using deep sinking line.. but after watching more of your videos I really need to start thinking chronomids and small flies catch big trout too as Ive put off for too long =)
@@PaoDAtt Oh yeah... the big ones eat tiny flies. Many 10 pound trout are caught on chironomids every year. I will try to get some more underwater stuff this next spring if I can.
Pretty crazy. One of the guy on the lakes sometimes goes out in his boat and plays music. In the air you can hear it. But stick your head under water and there is music haha.
Just bought 30 rainbow that are anywhere from 8 to 12 inches long for my pond. I had just dug my pond deeper and hit sanstone, so I have this nice clear blue water perfect I thought for trout. Excited to see how it goes this winter. Bought about 15 lbs of fathead minnows and 50lbs of Purina aquamax pellets. Just need to purchase an aerator and I think I'll be ready to go. Really enjoyed your video. I have been searching youtube for rainbow trout behavior in ponds and this is perfect.
Just started fishing troat. We have a small pond that has Rainbows in it we believe, but haven't managed to catch any yet. They seem very intelligent for fish, almost like they know the hooks and bait are a trap even though no one's lived on this property for at least 5 years. We've been having to make our own hooks because we don't have money for tackle, so that may be part of the problem. They seem to absolutely love hotdog, and we hooked one tonight with it. But the booger snapped the line and took the hook! Lol They're very interesting, and I'm already obsessed with learning about them.
@@TheFishingDoctorsAdventures We figured out it was actually the catfish eating them! Caught a catfish with one, just a very small catfish so looked like trout from afar when it flailed (or maybe it really didn't, but I'm new to fishing so I wouldn't know from a distance lol)

Very interesting vid. I think the idea of doing this in a “wild” lake is a good one. I always try to learn something new while actually fishing or watching these types of videos. Thumbs Up!
Amazing video! Not often you get a angler that spends time understanding fish at this level. On my lake it’s about the same thing that you’re showing. The rainbows here and south central Alaska are usually feeding on snails or anything that they can take advantage of but typically when I find them in the grassy areas it’s the freshwater snails. I had no idea until I caught one the other day and before releasing him he spit up a bunch of ‘em.
I like seeing the white tips on the fins. In rivers, a distinction between resident rainbows and steelhead (smolts) is the residents have those white tips.
@@generationfitness8451 are you sure it's not epigenetic, environmental genetic expression variants or you're actually sure there is a genetic sequence difference between a steelhead who goes out to the ocean and his brother who decides to just live in the river the rest of his days?
Amazing footage and commentary. Would love to have you down in Wisconsin to fish for giant Great Lakes brown trout. Been watching your channel for years !
Cool video !! Very interesting to see trout behavior in their habitat. Looking forward to wild trout video!
Ok, well maybe I'll try to make it happen this week if I get a good spot to try it out.

Great idea and awesome footage. Would love to see where the fish cruise in Phillips lake 👍.
Yeah I wonder how the clarity is there in the summer? Have you been in open water? I know winter time it is clear.
The Fishing Doctors Adventures yes I fish it regularly. It’s pretty clear in summer but does get hammered by wind often which stirs it up too.
@@AnglingwithAyden Thanks good to know. What depth are you catching fish at? That would help locate them. Maybe I'll go next time Im out by Vernon.

Yeah I will try in a wild lake, hopefully I can find them in 20 feet or less and give it a go
thxs for the cold water coverage. Always interesting and educational. We as humans know so little about the habits of wildlife.
For sure! it is quite amazing down there.

Super interesting understanding exactly why and how you catch a fish. The patterns are much more useful than random chance.
Awesome video. New angler trying to get a better understanding of natural behaviors. This was extremely informative. Thank you

That's great.
excellent video. Thank you for your work.
Ok, I'm going fishing soon. I'll take the snorkel and fins and see if I can capture any underwater behavior on a wild stock lake.

@@TheFishingDoctorsAdventures very much of it is genetic variation.

What was your water temp and what kind of day was it? Pre,, or post frontle, or stable?
I'm sorry, those details I can't recall.
Dam good video bud
Thanks!
Love it hope u do that video on wild rainbows...cheers
Yeah wild stocked in public lake, not private pond like mine. I'll see if I can make it happen.
This is very interesting to see how they scavenge for food and the way they behave.
Their prey is alive in this lake so I think it's called hunting or searching. But yeah they're after it.
Very interesting - why don't you get a seine or aquarium net and find out what they are feeding on. Thanks.
I don't know, might work. I don't have one though. It's easier to catch one and they do a stomach pump. It's usually chironomids in the summer.
Wow. Thanky9u
Your welcome!
what is up with ol blackhead?
I don't know, I was hoping you could tell me?
Crazy how they swim around you with no fear
Yeah I guess fish don't fear me.

U shoulda taken bait with you to feed them real time haha like the bird lady at the park.

Fun fact ..Sound travels 4X faster in water...
