    Hi Michael , I have watched your videos for a couple of years now and I think that you are amazing. I first copied your robin video and sent off for the paints and paint brushes, which assisted me to complete the oil . I sold this as one of my first commissions and was over the moon.
    I mainly paint dogs and am striving to make the look like yours paintings, like photographs or real life paintings. I am currently finishing off three dogs and trying to put them on sand dunes.
    I would love to meet you and take an art class in person with you. If ever you do classes, then I would be over the moon.
    Many thanks,

    Michael, I really like the way you paint the sand under the grass. Like I said many times, you are fantastic. You remind me of someone that lived in the 18 th century. He died in 1791, but he still lives thru his music. I hope you don't mind my crazy letters. I am now immobile and haven't much else to do. Your painting make me happy so keep,them coming. F C.

    Hello Michael, we are always going to make mistakes and what I like about you is you dont try to mask your mistakes, you just tell us about them. Thats really cool. I'm an artist here in the states and I've been watching you for the past two weeks. Keep making the videos please. May I also say that you have very good taste in music.

    Michael it is 9:05 am here and I would like to thank you for you answers. You made my day. I am still in the clouds looking at you work. Mozart's father said the boy scares me. He was only 4 or 5 yrs old at the time. I bet you scared the heck out of your father when you were a boy also. I scared my father also, but for a diff. Reason. Good day and good painting.

    Brilliant! I've learned the importance of the underpainting from watching you. Would you say establishing values is key in this step or establishing background color? Masterful technique!

    • @gigiscottos
      @gigiscottos 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Kip Hurst...in the underpainting...the important thing is for landscapes...is to establish your lights...darks...filling in the shapes...and trying to get your values as close as possible...however, as Michael mentioned many times...the block in with acrylics first...it doesn't have to be so presise...when you apply the oils this is where you need to establish the correct values...hope this helps.

      You certainly have a gift for being a professional artist at the age of 18. For mixing truly the exact the same colors, That really answer my question. I think for me is to persevere and be patient..You are my inspiration..Thank you for your kindness Michael ! 👌👍

    great work I like this blue colors. I have a question Is your dulux acrilic emulsion water resistant. I bought acrilic emulsion but it looks no water resist when it's dry. When I paint in oil, It's ok but when I rub panel with wet brush (water) it just dissolve.

    • @gigiscottos
      @gigiscottos 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +dall dalton...acrylic is not water resistant...it's a water based paint..this is why when you brush water on it..it thins and such...
