    Hi Clare, I think sticking to it is the hardest part rather than the fact that the workouts are hard. I couldn't make it through the second month because I just got bored. I think you should do one of two things - either one - take a 1 week break just to give yourself a breather. Or 2 - give yourself a couple days break each week so you aren't working out every single day. I have thought about trying Insanity again and I think if I do I will work out just 3 - 4 days a week instead of every day.

    Hi Erica, Yes absolutely! It doesn't matter how much you can keep up just attempting to do the workouts will be a great workout. And it will get easier as time goes on! You can always go back and do the tapes a second run through once you've gotten in better shape :) Good luck! I've been contemplating giving them another try!

    Thank you! Actually I tried so hard to stick with the second month and I just got bored of doing the same thing. That is the hardest part of working out for me...same reason why I don't last when I sign up for classes either. I don't know what I'm gonna try next!     Thanks! You can do it! The pushups are the hardest part by far. I feel like I am okay if my arms don't get buff. I care more about my butt, thighs and tummy, lol!! Keep at it- it will get easier!

    I know exactly what you mean, but even they skinny ones struggle at times. You will see when you get the DVD's. Good luck and good for you for giving it your best shot. Let me know how it goes :)

    I am so happy that you didn't get discouraged from only losing 3 pounds. So many people quit due to slow progress. Also, muscle weighs more than fat. When I first started into my fit life I gained weight before I lost it due to muscle growth. I am starting my insanity challenge hopefully in a week or so. (Whenever it comes in the mail) You have really inspired me. I think I will also make videos of my experience.

    I failed at taking measurements :( it's hard to remember the exact place to measure like your thigh and arms. Ugh! I am uploading video #4 of this series now, I mention how i screwed up on measuring myself.

    You are adorable! I hope to heck you finished Insanity. Very real commentary. I just finished Insanity and getting ready to do another round. It's tough and I thought the same thing about starting out so overweight. You can modify and still work out HARD. My butt hutt the entire 2 months (and still hurts) - so good to work against our body weight! Good job.

    Lol the bloopers,i can only workout at night cause the babies are in bed,im so glad i found you!!my starting weight was 215ish and 4 weeks in and im at 189!!im following my own low cal meal plan but im loving insanity and i just feel so motivated now that my body feels stronger!!still modifying lots of moves but im still moving!best of luck on your journey!

    Don't get down, it's not going to do you any good. Maybe you need to mix it up a bit? Try substituting some strength training every other day instead. Sometimes when you continue to do the same thing over and over your body gets accustomed to it and you don't see any results. Also, it doesn't sound like you have much weight to lose so many insanity will only help you tone- rather than lose weight.

    LOL the bloopers are funny. But I am SO thankful you posted this video. I thought that only really fit and skinny people could do this workout, and I am definitely not one of those people. I Just finished day 6 today, and I thought that I wasn't doing it good enough because I have to take a lot of breaks sometimes. I hope you have awesome results !

    Hi Jess! I ended up not finishing month 2 unfortunately. Overall I only lost 10 pounds in the 6 weeks that I did the program. 2 lbs a week for the first month and then only another 2 lbs during the time I struggled to completed month 2. I just don't think it's the program for me. I need to mix up my workouts and do different things all the time. But it certainly works well for other people so it is definitely worth the effort to see how it goes for you. How are you doing now?

    Just watched the first part of your series. I put starting the tapes because I thought I should be in better touch shape first. But you are right about modifying and going at your own pace. Can't weight to start now. Btw those bloopers are hilarious. Same thing happens in my home. :)

    I'm doing Insanity and had to eat quite a few calories to notice a difference. I have one more week to go and haven't lost much weight, but lost a few inches. I feel stronger and will do another round in a few weeks. Hope things got better for you!........healthy journey!

    I've just done Day 2 - I could barely do the last 10mins of the workout - the pushups done me in! :( ... but I'm determined to stick at it and push myself! Thanks for discussing the workouts ...feels a bit better hearing how someone else copes :)

    Loved this video!! My husband and kids interrupt me too and I say the same thing "What???" LOL!! I am 285 lbs and I am doing Insanity too and I do modify some of it but I am still getting the workout in. I am on a weight loss journey and documenting on TH-cam. I have a few vids of me doing Insanity and it is CRUCIAL!! Shaun T is no joke!! totally subbed. I also thought I would lose more weight a week,but it's a long process Hun. Please stay motivated!!!     The warm up changes in month two. He keeps them the same so you have time to master the form.

    I'm in week 7 of Insanity workout and I feel like giving up. I haven't lost any pound I'm still 143 lbs. My calorie intake is around 1500-1800. I'm really
    dispirited and depressed.

    thanks for getting back to me, iam getting a bit bored off doing the same routine over and over i know what you mean i really do want to do it, its just iam a little over weight and finding the motivation very hard aswell thanks very much for ur tips and advice will try that see if that helps thanks again.

    I have a really weak upper body as well. I've notice when I incorporated weight training with Insanity, I did A LOT better with the push ups during the Insanity workout. I finished one round of insanity without missing a day. My lower body became more toned, but my arm strength improved only a little bit.

    Insanity works no matter what your weight is. As long as you are committed, you will succeed. For most people, they are disappointed at about week 4 because the scale shows little to no results. In most cases they gain weight but that is only because of all the water retention, acids building up in order to recover, and muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat due to its density so don't worry, you'll succeed.

    If you can go by measurements rather than weight numbers because you're probably gaining muscle. Also upping your calorie intake helps loosing weight while doing insanity too :)

    Nah, not doing the meal plan. I have my own, but because of health reasons and doctor's orders I am not doing Insanity right now. :( But as soon as I get better, I will be back on it!! Peace!!

    Its for me to believe that I can do Insanity despite the fact I am morbidly obese. I mean how is it possible to do Insanity when u are morbidly obese. Even If i try to do Insanity, it is a fast paced work out , i can have a heart attack or it can damage my joints but after seeing your video , it is motivatin me for a fact that if u can do it , I can do it too but at the same time , keepin in mind it can damage my joints or gimme heart attack

    A lot of people wont see a lot of weight lost with this program. If you do it correctly you will build more muscle then weight lost. From you're videos I can see a difference you should stick with it.
