Reminiscent of prince ballad. The grit… the energy… the eclipsing of the ear to organs beyond… grab a stiff drink and slam it down , then run your fingers through your woman’s hair and draw her back slowly …. Wait for the chorus … then look her in the eyes and present a kiss that will be remembered for eternity… 🥃🥃👊🏻👊🏻cheers yall
Really like this band. Every song you've done has been excellent so far! Considering that was presumably phone footage as well, that was a great recording. Look forward to you doing more from them. 😄
I couldn't do your job.. When I find a band that has this much quality, Throughout every Phase of composition and performance, I have to binge every song. I listened to the best songs over and over to break down every part of the song. I will listen to no one else until i'm actually sick of the band
Pretty cool story on these guys. They WERE signed, but they could never find a producer in Nashville (🤮🤮🤮) that would just let them be them, so they never released a CD. The finally get out of the recording contract and come up with the idea of doing a crowdfund fundraiser with their fans (extensive touring in the SE had built a very solid fan base. See them live and you’ll know why). They asked for like $35k and raised over $50k inside of 2 weeks. That allowed them to go into studio and cut and release “Moment of Truth” as a completely independent CD. I don’t know if they have signed with anyone since they’ve really started to increase their fan base or not. But that first CD? Completely independent.
They may be signed by now. They went from doing their own set ups and tuning and driving a large van with a pull behind trailer to haul their gear last year to now having a huge tour bus and when I saw them a couple of weeks ago they had roadies, so maybe they have a new deal. They are also working with the producer who has done several of Jason Isbell’s CDs@@redheadedneighbor , 1:10
Muscle Shoals Boy Here!!! When heard you reference Thr Shoals connection it’s exactly reason Red Clay Strays hooked me! The FAME and Jackson highway studio with Swampers 60’s & 70’s era was magic from Etta to Percy to Wilson to Clarence to The Stones. But present day artist representing The Shoals are carrying legacy from Jason Isbell and 400 Unit, John Paul White, Drive By Truckers. And studios still putting Shoals touch on music it records with acts like St Paul and Broken Bones, Black Keys, Anderson East, Foy Vance, Alabama Shakes, etc. Now let’s get Red Clay Strays up here for next album. Will be perfect pairing!
Pretty sure this is from the Bluestone in Columbus, Ohio last week. These guys are terrific live, was at that concert, will definitely be seeing them again. Go see them if you get a chance, well worth it, they put on one hell of a show.
Powerful Vocals great overall sound !! albeit phone pick up gave the guys a Like 😀Pokey La Farge & the South City Three are a Great Band which i have seen live on 4 occasions😎
The song is musically similar (same chords) to "All Along the Watchtower" (Dylan/Hendrix) before it goes to a "bridge." The guy is a good singer and the band is tight. I think they are one or two songs away from going places. Looking forward to the big surprise????
Looks like they used Thirty Tigers to publish the forthcoming new album. That company allows artists to retain independence and most importantly rights to their own music. Other artists using Thirty Tigers are Lucinda Williams, Jason Isbell, Ryan Bingham, Sturgill Simpson and more. Very smart of these young southern boys. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirty_Tigers
Best live band on the planet!

Saw them back to back nights in MI a couple weeks ago. Amazing shows. So fortunate to see them in intimate venues. SEE THEM!
I want to so badly!

You have no idea how I love this. I have a love for independent artists and rejects. Thank you so much. I had no idea that had a Nashville rejection.

@@d40boundyahoo18 good for them. I can understand that, but they understand what it is to fight the industry
They have a great TH-cam channel too with a pod cast called s. O. S. Strays off stage
