For those wondering this is towards end of buu saga, Dbz dub/sub episode 288‼️, the reason alot never seen it because they skipped og dbz and went straight to kai⚡️
Don’t think they ever played this ep on cartoon network, where most og’s watched it as it was difficult to get anime in the US in the 90s. Never seen Kai.

I wouldn't even say they "skipped it". 😅 I'm 40 years old: when the original dub aired, I was only in High School - and they were already wrapping up Buu Saga on Toonami when I graduated. If you are under 30, chances are you probably started with the Dragon Ball Kai dub several years later in 2008+ and did not even know it was a totally different thing. There is a chance that a few of you might have seen the later re-airings on Adult Swim in 2004-2007, but even those were altered too versus the original airing.
More people also watched the Kai dub too because it aired on various over-the-air tv stations (like 4kids) in the US too - whereas outside the ocean dub stuff in the late 90s, the Funi dub Buu Saga was exclusively on Toonami for a along time (Cable/Satellite). The Kai Dub also aired for MUCH longer thanks to places like Adult Swim bringing it back and alot of streaming services preferring to offer the first few seasons of Kai for a while there.
Most fans who grew up at that time are in their mid-30s or older now (my younger brother was 12 then, and 34 now) - so you can imagine that ALOT of the modern fans missed out on all these Toonami era bumpers, intros/outro's and a more than a few fill episodes because they were really young, or not even born yet when the Kid Buu Saga originally aired on Toonami between November 19, 2002 - April 7, 2003 . 🙂👍

That look is actually for Goku! You have to remember that until the Kid Buu Saga, either Goku or Vegeta had been de*d at different points. Goku missed his chidlren growing up, and alot of change. For that one moment Goku and all his friends were back together and able to relax.... Vegeta is letting Goku have his moment because he too missed him, but doesn't want Kakarot to know that - it's a rare moment of contentment that all his friends are together. But make no mistake that Vegeta is _STILL_ Vegeta, and his Saiyan Pride is not about to be parted with.

Super is so round, so off, so wrong, so childish, goku is so retarded, the art and animation is so bland and lame, powerscaling is so disgustingly bad, the new transformations are so brain dead, most of the writing is so lame, no logic, quite awful design for some of the new characters. I legit wouldn't mind if super just dissapeared and then they made a new better continuation of Z

I wouldn't agree with your assessment before but after watching it and analyzing it. You are right. (In fact, ChibiReviews said the DBS timeline might become non-canon now with all these companies fighting for it's IP. Let's hope it is the case but it will still be sad to see. The DBS movie before the series came was great and gave strong DBZ vibes. )

Some people would say that we are biased, that it is just nostalgia and blah blah blah... but come on lol
When I was a kid, I just watched a few random Z kai episodes rarely from time to time, but just recently, I watched the entirety of DB, original DBZ and DBS in order, every episode including filler, so I know im not biased and the difference in between Z and Super is just HUGE. Z was so much more enjoyable, hands down, and it's not even close.
Also yeah, I doubt it makes sense to consider Super canon because toriyama was clearly very conditioned and he wasn't just doing whatever he thought would be best for the series.
That said, yeah, the battle of gods movie was pretty good, it went very downhill from there unfortunately. I also hate how quickly they made super saiyan god obsolete with blue and how blue didn't have a proper introduction and design, I personally don't really like the way blue looks lmao
In general I don't like the abuse of saturated colors in super, everything is wayyyyy too overly colorful and saturated. Ssj blue (aka ssgssj) would look SO much better if it was a more desaturated blue for example, or if the colors and style were just like an upgraded slightly different version of ssg, u know, just like ssj2 and ssj3 don't look completely different in colors and everything to ssj1. They clearly just used DBS as a way to sell toys for children and make tons of money
