You could also add a grow light and heat pad for cold climates or winter! Check out the description for more info on my garden zones etc. What have you repurposed for the garden??? let me know below 😊🌱
I got a free full glass commercial fridge which is perfect. It has lights shelves and fans which I going to use to circulate the air. I gutted the fridge guts at the bottom. When it’s cold I will put a tub of rabbit manure in the bottom to heat up the unit. It’s also on wheels so I can have it indoors or outdoors if need be.
You should check out getting a wax piston for your greenhouse, it's an old non-electric tool that opens a greenhouse door or window automatically when it's hot and closes when it's cool, using the physical expansion and contraction of wax in a tube based on local temperature.
Love your idea. Shared it to benefit some cold weather friends, some of who are looking of ways to keep certain plants thriving indoors while it snows outside!
I love the idea I've used the same fishtank for years and it mostly definitely works. It is in my bedroom by the southeast window and I'm able to use it all year long for many types of plants.
Thank you for the info I’m trying to grow a couple mango seeds it’s been a week or so nothing. I’ll try covering it❤ I recently heard someone talk about Rollie pollies you call them slaters I’ve not tried this. She said cut into a radish and lay it in your plants it has to be cut. They supposedly love them and they gather there. just get rid of them and throw the radish back in your plant to catch more😂
Awesome idea! Would love to try it (though I don't have the space for a large tree, unless I plant it in one of my families gardens haha!) Do they prefer full sun when bigger? Or is part shade better.

Very cool. Yay on all your babies. I’ve got an old plastic dome from the 70’s was a terrarium. Used for ferns, fish bowl and seed starter
Such a cool idea, thanks for sharing Holly! 😍🙌💚
Thanks Jackie! 😊

That's a great idea!! Much more room for plants too haha
Nice little greenhouse 🌝🌱👍
Works a treat 🌱🌱🌱

Great idea Holly! Would love to know your seed raising mix details. Enjoying your channel, cheers from Melbourne 😊
Nothing fancy as seeds have all their energy stored to sprout. I mainly use a seed and cutting mix bag. The finer the better though

Thank you! A light and a heat pad would certainly help
Great idea with the fish tank. I have seen people repurpose BBQs with the glass front in them as miniature greenhouses too.

Such a good space saver! And interesting to peep on what's growing 🌱 👀
Very cool idea! I am from the other WA 😃

Good advice

Works a treat 👌💚
Hey Holly. Brilliant idea! 27degrees in nz today. Are you guys getting hotter weather all of sudden
We had 40s this week gone 🫠 enjoying a small break of mid 20s-30s this week before most likely another hot hit.
What a great idea, thanks Holly. I’m definitely going to try this! 👍 Are the mango seeds from mangoes you have bought from the supermarket and eaten?
Thank you! Yep they are. I might do a video on that soon 🤔
@@SustainableHollythat would be fabulous, cheers 😊

Mangos? They love full sun when they are older. You can grow one in a large pot and get a small amount of fruit 🥭
@@SustainableHolly oooh awesome! I'll keep that in mind, thanks so much. And best of luck for your tropical seedlings! : )
Are you in Queensland?
Nope I'm in Perth ☀️
My son had so many aquariums i shud have kept one......
Much easier to maintain than fish 😅🌱🌿
