I saw the owner of this bike out at the Dragon last year with the carbon wheels shown at the end of the video. Super cool guy and the exhaust sounds even better in person!
You had power and torque numbers on this video that are higher than the numbers on your website with the S2B. Then I noticed the carbon fiber wheels were on the bike in this video. Approx 5 to almost 7 more HP with the carbon fibre wheels . Cool..
I don't understand the torque results. Why does the software choose that spot on the graph for the max. TQ? The graph shows the thing making 100 ft. / lb. of torque I think (kind of hard to read with the quick camera fly by of the dyno monitor.) Maybe you can just take a photo of the screen if you can retrieve it and post that so the before and after results are clear. Its cool to see someone wring it out on the dyno and all the noise and whatever, but I'm really interested in the HP and TQ before and after results.
Such and awesome sound and great tuning job, can i ask “before you had a titanium version or similar of this exhaust for the Z900RS, can that be special ordered? I didn’t see it listed anymore on your site.” BTW I love my BST wheels, block off plates etc from Brock’s
@Mark - update. The CT's will be back in our store today. The Penta-Carbon's will be available spring 2021. My apologies, got the new Z900 and Z900RS offering confused :/
@@BrockDavidson i am on my knees begging the wife as we speak... i have to fly everything in where i live in SE Asia, my shipments get stolen or 100 VAT at customs but when i send them to my sisters house and fly them in my baggage, no issues, so soon as travel clears up, i should be ordering a set, so spring is perfect for me.. thank you for following up..
@@marknasia5293 bit.ly/37ijERP it's a small run. It would be best to order now as most of our shipments have been pre-sold on arrival, so they don't show up as inventory in the store. They come in and all go out, so the 0 inventory doesn't move.
Not according to our records. In fact, we found very few interchangeable parts between the two bikes...other than Kawasaki and Z900. Physically, they are apples and oranges.
@@BrockDavidson Well that's unfortunate. Next question: Is anyone interested enough in CF wheels for the Z900 for Brock's Performance to get them in stock? haha
Another question... Do you remove the secondary flies? Or just tell the ECU to keep them open at WOT until redline? If the ECU is flashed to remove those fly restrictions, is there a benefit to removing them entirely?
On a bike with secondary flies, the primary blades are controlled by the rider via throttle cable. On throttle by wire bikes, we program the throttle to be 1-1, which means it's linear from 0% to 100%.
@@BrockDavidson Right, so long as the ECU is flashed like that, there is no benefit to removing them. I saw Dale Walker removing his, and I wasn't sure why.
@SquireSCA , bikes that are throttle by wire do not have secondary flies as they are not needed. Here is more info on removing them that i think you might enjoy: blog.brocksperformance.com/zx-14-diary-update/
@@BrockDavidson I am confused... haha On the Z900RS, it's not throttle by wire, right? But I know that in the ECU flashing software, there are tables that control the secondary flies, right? The primary butterfly valves are directly connected to the throttle cable, but isn't there a second set that the computer controls, so that even if you give it 100% throttle, the ECU will start closing them earlier than redline? That's what part of the ECU flash does, removes that and sets the tables to 100% so that they don't shut the party down early? If so, is there any benefit in removing them, physically?
@@SquireSCA sorry for confusion. No, the Z900RS is not throttle by wire, but it has a modern ecu which controls as many things as the TBW bikes. You can completely remove the flies, but you will still need to reflash the ECU for max performance and drivability: more info: bit.ly/3BQNvg6 We leave them in because we can control them to help smooth drivability, and then hold them open to prevent high rpm restriction. We usually see more power with them installed as opposed to removed. Not sure if it's better atomization or fuel defection to a better area in the port...doesn't matter. We offer what works the best in our testing. Hope this helps.
Do you guys have someone near Sydney Australia that can do the ECU flash? Sending it all the way to the US seems a bit of a hassle. How much performance can you get with the power commander only?
@Matti - we perform our flashes in house. Many of our customers are opting for our exhaust and PCV with our matching mapping on the RS. 10+ HP can be realized while optimizing drivability and acceleration in all areas.
@brock the numbers on the dyno speak for itself. I do want to get this exhaust somewhere early next year. However, I am a bit worried with our current police attitude against modifications. If I get pulled over and they see my Stupid Fast exhaust, I could get fined and asked to get my bike tested which will make it fail on emissions. So going back to stock has to be an option. I reckon if the ecu is flashed that would make it a bit more hairy. The power commander would allow for more easy revert to stock since I can just unplug the PCV. But I did get the notion the Ecu flash offers the best package. So I have to come to a decision if the upgrade is worth the risk of police harassment and then whole throwing money away thing when forced back to stock. Welcome to nanny state Australia.

Hey man, what makes the biggest performance gains on this bike? I did some of Ivan's airbox mod, decat with link pipe to get rid of the bread box and an ECU flash and tune over at Moore Mafia... But we only got 103HP at the wheel... It seems like the stock headers are what really holds this thing back?
Correct. The headpipes are sized more for a 600, to help with low-end grunt. The problem is that kills midrange and peak power. A single tooth sprocket change brings back low end and lets the engine perform at its peak when requested.
@@BrockDavidson sounds like I need headers…. I did order a 520 conversion kit with a +3 rear sprocket. My issues was on track, at 130mph in 6th it would stop pulling, like I hit an aerodynamic wall….

No. Noise level is directly related to the amount of HP a bike makes - assuming the same pipe construction, baffle etc. Because a Busa makes more power, it will naturally be louder.
