KIA Soul ! Instrument cluster/bulb replace

- I needed to replace the check engine bulb because mine burnt out and wouldn't pass inspection without it. I looked for a video showing how to remove the instrument cluster but I couldn't find any.
So... This is how I removed the instrument cluster and replaced the bulb.
Please only attempt this if you know what you are doing.
Audi / VW part number for the bulb is: 4A0919040C
You could also find the bulb online. Search: OSRAM-Sylvania 12V 1.1W Instrument Panel Light Bulb (Clear Glass w/Orange Base)
THANKS! Helpful! My instrument cluster went dead and trans lever was stuck in park, one cold morning. Local mechanic told me $2000 and two weeks to replace the instrument cluster, and he said he couldn't promise me that would fix the problem. I did some reading online; other people had the same problem after a cold snap. I warmed up the car and the problems went away. Still don't know how to fix it but I *DO* know not to believe a mechanic unless he's your grandfather. And I do know this is not going to require a new instrument cluster. :-) Thanks, Kez!
Thank you so much. You saved me the cost of a new instrument panel for my 2006 kia rio by revealing the audi/vw part number (4A0919040C). your u-tube video is the only place that i got good information for a replacement equivalent for my check engine light. all is well.
Worked perfect for my 2011 Kia Soul engine light fix. Yes! I couldn't pass inspection without it working!

I really appreciate you're video,I tried changing the hiper flashing problem in my kia 2013 couse i replaced recently al the bulbs for LEDs but it started hiper flashing and to get to the problem i was trying to get to the flashing part from the bottom 😅😅😭😭

Yeah, music is a tricky beast. The loud thing happens to a lot of people, but your video is very good overall.
Hey man i have a kia venga i believe the same method should be used im saying this because it has very similar curves. Did you only pull that casing out?did you need press anywhere?
Have you thought about upgrading your car cluster using the cerato cluster?
Thank you very much for the video! Could you tell me how you removed the wheel? We can't reach the instrument cluster because of the wheel or better because of the material which connects the cluster to the wheel.
I didn't remove the wheel. Just adjusted it to the lower position.
When you get a new cluster do the miles stay? Or do you have to go to a dealer or somewhere to program the miles? I have A 2012 Kia Soul.
Let me start by saying I'm not an expert or professional. That being said, I don't believe the miles stay. I think the miles are stored separately in the ecu and the instrument cluster. They need to match. A Google search showed services to have the mileage corrected but you will need the documentation of the modification to stay with the vehicle. Also, I heard somewhere that there may be an issue with the body control module needing to match up with the cluster. Just something for you to look into. I hope this helps.

I have a 2011 Kia Sorento. Is it the same to remove the cluster as the Kia Soul?
I honestly couldn't say because I've never worked on a Sorento. I've seen others comment that they had similar success using this method for the Rio and Optima. However, I have no personal experience with any KIA other than the Soul. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

No, I only left the ignition off.
Does anyone know what size the replacement bulb is for a check engine light on instrument cluster 2012 Kia Soul, apparently this is on sale from Audi, if anyone can give me a parts number or size of the bulb tht would be great.
