Absolutely love the fact that Slash, himself, is giving the details away. He is such a genuine person. There is no pretence or air about him. Absolute gold!
When we finally got Slash for his gear presentation, here comes this Agnesi to mess things up. This Slash explanation should be on Premier Guitar's Rig Rundown series.
That man is the reason I love Les Pauls. Also the reason I bought a Les Paul. Never forget the first time I heard Slash I think first solo I ever heard was sweet child when I was about 12 in the late late 80s. I’ve also met Slash when he was in Velvet Revolver in 05 coolest cat I ever met. Him and Duff cool asf!!! Keep jamming all u out their chase your dreams don’t look back kids!!!
Mark, please do start the conversation, but damn boy, when Slash is talking don’t interject and interrupt him. To get this opportunity because of your new position, doesn’t mean you get to be a flunky and run at the mouth. Sit tight, ask the question, and get the fook out of the way. Thank you.
Man...ladies and gentlemen when they made Slash they broke the mold. He’s been my hero since they first became known. I absolutely love that man and always have. He’s a class act!!! Me and my brother and a few buddies in the late 80s had a band and we adored GnR. RIP Danny!
That would've been funny as shit all uncomfortable with slash the ambassador of Gibson talking up an ml or maybe when one of the similar body styles classic
Not really cuz a lot of rock bands back then used Gibson guitars. Motley Crue , Aerosmith, Kiss,U2 , Metallica, GreenDay(the list can keep going)...just to mention a couple. But yeah since GnR was very famous ...more than any other rock band ...we can say that to a certain extend. Gibson was basically "the other side of the spectrum" on the guitar tones world. You could have any other guitar in the mix but the moment you introduce a Gibson with distortion or overdrive ...its over. 🤘🏽
This is like porn for guitar players. Thanks so much Mark and All Guitar Network. This is the first interview in 35 years where Slash is showing his guitars. Love from India.🙏
Interviewer guy scores an interview with Slash, proceeds to talk over him, answer his own questions, repeatedly cuts off Slash to interject his own knowledge, and makes the interview hard to watch....just shuddap dude.
Yea I kind of wish he wouldn’t have done that in this situation. I love mark for his knowledge but he should really hold back on it in situations like this. It’s more about hearing slash talk and getting a clear sound from slash mike and allowing him a platform to continue. I just want this to well so badly and know it will for sure
Slash is chill, Mark seems like he just did a line of blow. He's a talking over Slash and seems to be trying to a bit too hard to impress... someone. Either Slash or the viewer with his knowledge. Not a great soundcheck.
It's slash, you'd probably be worse or better, or the alternative is that it's his job he has to be the big energy personality while dealing with the big energy people
Mark and Slash do well together. It's obvious that Slash likes him. Have seen tons of interviews with Slash and here he speaks like a kid in a candystore. Loved it.
in 1966 my dad was that a gig there with some new band on stage. the lead singer lit up a joint and offered it to my dad who was 18 at the time. my dad wanted to be a rockstar and decided the dude on stage seemed quite awesome so my dad took the offered treasure and toked away. the band was the doors the singer was morrison. my dad is 70 something years old now and is probably smoking as I write this. the funny thing about it is in 2007 I was at the whiskey for Slash's book signing and jam, and I was talking to Mark all night. SLASH gets up there to play and there was at least a dozen people smoking cigarettes in that tiny club so I did what I always do, lit a joint. about halfway through it I get tapped on the shoulder and thinking someone wanted a hit I turned around to share and it was mark. he threw me out of the f'n club. talk about irony LOL
@@largecoke4087 Claiming fairness for Gibson after all this threatening and suing on their part seems a little bit strange, to say the least. But I don't want to be misunderstood: I own two Gibson guitars, one of which I bought brandnew back in 1979 and I don't try to bash the brand itself. But this new ownership and management is disgusting as far as I'm concerned. And insofar I agree with hammill444: Mark Agnesi is a perfect representative for Gibson

Considering that Slash´s guitars are rumoured to be all made by outside luthiers, they slap then the Gibson logo on them and pretend they didn´t see nothing, that´s pretty fitting.

Don't find him annoying as such but thought he was talking over Slash quite a bit but then again I guess he only had like a 10 or 15 minute window to chat to Slash so he crammed as much questions and stuff in as he could.
Correct if i’m right: Gibson did give him two ‘87 standard (the 3 piece top Honey Burst, the one With the cigarette burn, and another 2 piece top with a veeeeery light cherry, both plain top) that he used live to let his beloved replicas at home. Now he doesn’t tour the ‘87 standards anymore, and... there’s only one remaining of the two, because the light cherry one (not the one with the cigarette one) has been stolen too, right?

Notice how close the strings are to the pickups. Interesting to see the guitars up close. Also noticed he doesn't screw the tailpiece down tight to the body, it's raised a bit.
Play authentic means "play a halfassed replica of a reissue of a 59' with Seymour Duncan copies in it", apparently. For that money it should have gotten a real ABR-1 bridge and real Duncans, at least
The man notoriously hates the camera, but I appreciate a lot that Slash did this rundown by himself for the first time in 35 years...
JB1Nico with mark going all in apeshit on top of that.
Gotta get them royalties man
The guy from Gibson spreads stress all over the place…
Props to Slash for going through that before his gig.
He's Mark Agnesi, originally from Norman's Rare Guitars a large music store in California that sells to the stars.

I wonder if Slash has ever seen the back of his head?
Such a kindness from Slash giving this interview himself. It shows a lot of humbleness of his part. That guy is amazing!
Slash always seems down to earth and laid back!
wow hes so humble to have a conversation with another person its incredible youd think he might even be a human like you and me

Right slash is just his tech
It's all about that *authentic* tone
