Watching this game makes me happy that we have brock purdy. There are so many moments when players were open but kapernick just thought it was better to fit in a tight window
@@Airi_Iwin No, they seemed more elite in big games. The reason being that the rest of the offense stepped up in those games. Flacco and Eli were both great QBs functionally, they just weren't very good vocal leaders. They lacked the ability to get players motivated. Their play never fell off, it was the play of those around them that did. That's what made it look like they were stepping up in big games when really, they were always playing exactly the same.
The year is 20XX. The 49ers continue to make deep playoff runs as a run 1st team with a star TE, stout front 7, and some CBs that they found out in front of Home Depot.
Ten yrs after the Harbaugh Bowl, we got the Kelce/Andy Reid Bowl. I'm kinda surprised this was uploaded almost 2 weeks after the 10th anniversary. If not for the lights going out, this would've gone down as a blowout, unless the comeback was coming no matter what.
I'm a Ravens fan and I remember watching this like it was yesterday! I was 16 (I'm 26 now) and was watching this with my mom and grandparents at the time! I was so amped up for this game that after Ed Reed intercepted the ball, I had to get a paper bag because I was hyperventilating! I actually missed (live) the Jacoby Jones receiving touchdown because I was more fixated on that lol! I did catch the second half and remember jumping up and down after winning! I will never forget this moment!
This is one of my favorite Super Bowls. Brothers going against each other in a Super Bowl Ray Lewis and Ed Reed final game as Baltimore Ravens Randy Moss trying to get ring before he retires Beyoncé awesome Halftime show that went blackout Jacoby Jones Kickoff Return that is one of the best in Super Bowl plus the controversial play at end
What makes this Super Bowl interesting is that both teams found ways to choke. The Ravens nearly blew a 22 point lead, and the Niners abandoned their run game at the most critical moment. And somehow, John Harbaugh watched the end of this game and thought "Yeah, when I get a QB who can use his legs, I'm gonna just have him do nothing but throw the ball in crunch time too."
As a diehard Steelers fan, i was happy this Baltimore team won a ring. Bal vs pit at this time was the best rivalry in the league and the ravens winning a ring validated them as an elite team. Especially the year before this the way they lost to n.e. in the afc championship game(cundiffs missed fg). Ray deserved to go out with a ring as well
As a Niner fan it breaks my heart watching this again 😢 we were so close, I just hope the Niners get at least one super bowl win these next couple of years, especially with the talent they have right now
@John Solo It must be so difficult to be a Browns fan. The Browns are so incompetent that their commitment to losing is almost statically impossible. So say whatever you want but you're watching a video on the BALTIMORE Ravens winning a Superbowl, something your city may never see. If you get bored watching this go watch the 30 for 30 they did on the 2000 Ravens. Ravens are winners and the Browns are just the same sorry Browns.
@John Solo The Ravens have 2 Superbowls and you guys have none. A win is a win. Why are you still crying. Everyone in the league knows the browns are literally the worst team next to the Lions. How many Hall of Famers do we got compared to the Brownies? Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Tucker, Yanda and you guys have Joe Thomas. how i feel with the Steelers. super bowl 45 is the only super bowl I've seen with them because I was to young to care about 43.But you will definitely see the 49ers win, they have a lot of talent.
Also gotta point out one of the most underrated plays in Super Bowl history. At 19:18, Gore was on his way to score. Ellerbe,59, was blocked by Staley and because he was going back, it gave him momentum to catch Gore. If he’s disengaged closer to the line or doesn’t hustle, SF probably wins this one.
This Super Bowl reminds me a lot of this years: a Bird team vs a Red West coast team that was an absolute battle that ended with a controversy (for this years it was the PI, for 2012 it was the no call on Baltimore)
The no call in 2012 was correct though. Both players jammed each other initially. Could be called OPI or DPI, but the refs just decided to no call it which was right
I remember exactly where I was on this day... My first day on the job at a Buffalo Wild Wings 😂 I was told to just stand off to the side and observe the entire shift. A BWW + SB is insanity, let alone your first day on the job. Flacco's immaculate playoff run culminating into a SB title was incredible to watch that year.
What surprised me so much about this game honestly was how poorly the Niners D played. I thought Ravens would win, but expected more a low scoring slugfest. Also I bet the Niners watched Chiefs and are asking where was their flag lol.
Yep. During this era the Niners had a great defense. The Baltimore offense kinda shredded them through the air throughout the first half though, which was definitely unexpected
@@Eli-ss9gj The 49ers pass defense in this era (2011-2013) was MASSIVELY overrated. Rogers, Tarell Brown and Chris Culliver were absolutely shredded by Brees, Eli, Rodgers, Ryan, and Flacco in the playoffs.
