If they were sitting on 13 new maps that were ready to go.. well there's your number one problem right there, they didn't have enough content to compete in today's era. How do you have 13 finished maps and not release any of them? There's no chance those were all gonna release in the next season, it would be like 3 or 4 max. Highly doubt we get 13 new maps.

I'm a 45 year old man and after working a full shift I will jump on with friends to do some S&D at times. After playing a few games we noticed two things, it was the same people in the lobbies for about 4 games, we finally got to spectate the ones we reported and yes they were running blatant walls (mater prestige level 120). he asked if we reported him when they were playing against us and we said yes, he said nothing will come of it and he has played with them since day 1. later checked and me & my friend are shadow banned (restricted matchmaking) due to others spamming us I'm sure because of the actual cheaters. this game is like a kid throwing up in a gravitron, it ends up everywhere all over everything but the one causing the issue.

I hate seeing the death of the FPS genre. Its a sad sight to behold, however its bittersweet because I got to be a part of it. Im 30 now and got to witness the sweet prime rib juice of what was.
Im 29 and it kills me to see it. As i only ever got to enjoy the golden ages of FPS games was when i could stay at one friends house. He was the only friend with internet. So i only get to hear about what was, as i watch them destroy it little by little.
I have played online FPS since quake 1 and it thrived until around 2012 from that point on they quickly became less about making fun games and more about milking every penny they can out of consumers. And that brought us to this, the dystopian landscape we have today.
Your “golden age” fps wouldn’t survive a second in today’s market. Fortnite and Bo6 are 100X better than any no skill, turtle movement speed game you’re talking about.

Clean multiplayer fun ;invested in battle pass snd spent a bit more hoping they would survive .No wasted time . Can't remember if I ever saw lag or game freezes .

Man I love xdefiant. It was the first time in years I really got addicted to a shooter again. I played so much just for the love of the game, I was so excited for all the progression fixes. I maxed out every weapon to 500 prepping for S3 just to then hear the game getting shut down was heartbreaking. Praying Ubi gets bought out and xdef gets revived with the same morals and ideas.
Ubisoft is shooting themselves in the foot by not allowing new player registration. I GUARANTEE Cod Multiplayer base would flock to this game with this news.

It's just crazy how they sunset the game right before the biggest content drop. They were "ahead of the game" but drip fed us content. Felt like we were using the same guns and playing the same maps for over a year. I'm level 100 something and wanted this game to thrive but the lack of having ANYTHING to do other than camo grind for hours on end.
Also, the gun skins are too difficult to get to be worth it. In COD you can win a skin in a couple games, in XDefiant you need DOZENS of games to win anything.
Time to try XDEFIANT again. I'm happy I never deleted the game. Even if it's essentially dead, I would like to play it until it's offline. Personally a game isn't dead until it's unplayable online
there are a couple things we need to keep in mind with this 1. it is a completely different genre of game, those of which have been starved from content by overwatch 2 being so dogshit in its area 2. it is free to play, meaning it takes the first minute of the game launching and you are counted as a player 3. its also a huge IP that has many people jumping to their consoles to try out the game for their favorite characters the concurrent player count is impressive by any means, but there are many reasons for that
@@corziv3214 I completly agree and i am buzzed in the time of writing this so i do apoligize for any mispellings or poor format. the way that i think about it is that the game is or had had a free to play weekend and with black ops francise being such a well known one and there relece date being a little while ago im unsure if they have even gotten close to that many players since its releace and with there player base dropping at such an alarming rate even in the free to play weekend. and I may be completly wrong and i do apolize if i am but the warzone is also included in the count for bo6 which is a free to play as well. however I do agree we need to keep other reasons to keep in mind for the info that we are getting its all just crazy to me

After June comes im officially retiring from FPS. The experience we get from XD will never happen again. XD is truly one of a kind and the last of its kind. I still play XD every day. We've gotta keep its numbers up.
I feel like people forget that the player counts on Call Of Duty are for, MW2, Warzone 2, MW3, Warzone 3, BO6, Zombies, BO6 Campaign. All of these launch through Call Of Duty. So it is actually much worse
Hey BT, just wanted to say that Delta Force doesn't have SBMM. The devs explained further but basically they divide the players into "new" and "everyone else" and matches players with other players of their same category. "new" players are just players under a certain level or a certain amount of matches played, the way it works it's more like to protect newcomers so they can have some time to learn the mechanics but it's just that, there's no good or bad in that game, just new and not new. Delta Force is a really fun game and if the only thing stopping you from playing is the match-making, you can be safe to give it a try and not worry about that
People won't come back to XDefiant mainly because they can't. If you uninstalled the game, it's no longer on the store to be able to redownload. Those who have it are all that remain unless they put it back on again.
The only hope I have for xDefiant is somehow people reverse engineer the game on the server side and we have something like plutonium for it, since it will only be fully offline on June it's enough time to some experienced devs to figure that stuff out if there is enough interest.

The reason these games are considered more successful than games like BO2 is because more people bought it. Success to them isnt the like to dislike ratio, it's the amount of copies sold. With that knowledge, they know damn well of the good they can do, but they choose not to. They are incompetent.

I logged in last night to see that private games were already added in, and most of the content for weapon unlocks have already been unlocked for me. Unfortunately I couldn't get into a game I was sitting there for 15 minutes and only five players were found
What worked for me to get into games faster was turning off input based match making and selecting all of the objective game modes in my custom playlist. Might end up playing only one game mode the whole time but at least it was faster.
XDefiant really needs to be bought out (or all of Ubisoft) and allow it to live. It sucks being in Aus because it's likely no one is playing this with our low pop.
I had deleted Xdefiant but have now re-downloaded it, I haven't played COD for weeks as I get packet loss every game. After watching the latest TacticalBrit video I think you might be right about Ricochet just being an ai that changes things in game instead of being an anticheat as he says only the tp 1% of players get banned/shadowbanned and when unbanned the cheaters come back and its just a cycle, so it seems like they're doing something about cheaters but in reality they're just banning the top 1%
Recently I’ve only been playing free for all ONLY, and I’ve caught the game mode filter also adding in Nuketown Holiday 24/7 and Face off moshpit when I NEVER checked off those modes in the filter to begin with. It’s like the game is trying to force me into a lobby to fill the skill bracket of other players
Also I noticed while strictly playing only Free for All for about a week now, since I don’t have a team and I’m the only player working for my own kills, the game is much much funner since I don’t have to rely on my teammates being obliterated just because of a skill algorithm so PSA if you’re tired of losing nonstop cause of SBMM try out FFA it literally feels like a different game cause you’re not being held back
I used to only play COD. I stopped playing COD about 4-5 years ago. Last year got bored and installed and played pretty much only zombies and a little warzone, and even those felt "off". I haven't even pretended to wanna try this BO6 game. I want the entire franchise to die on principle.

Hey BT, I definitely suggest you give the Finals a try. For some context,I have a total of 3400 kills, my kd is around 1.2 and my win loss ratio is abysmall. I only play casual btw. Sometimes I'm facing diamond ranked players with 40000 kills, other times I'm facing low level people that are bad, other times smurfs and everything in-between. Some days i go on winstreaks popping off, some days I'll play well and get 0 wins, other days I'llget destroyed etc. There's a huge disparity between lobbies and it doesn't feel like my matches are affected by the previous ones in any way. The only sure thing is that i feel like I'm improving the more i play so I'm inclined to believe there's no sbmm but who knows. Definitely give it a try though and see what you think.
Dude I've been telling him since December. He wont really give it a chance. Half of these dudes are stuck in the past and want a shooter that feels like Black Ops 2. Meanwhile, The Finals is literally revolutionizing the FPS space and they are missing out on it. There is nothing better out right now and if there is I haven't seen it yet.

Started playing two months ago, and I've clocked 120 hours. The game truly is something special. I really hope BT will give it a chance.

Let these be a lesson people: You see a game, play it first thing. If you hate it, you'll at least have it on your library. You guys should easily have a TB or two these days, if you don't, that's on you. This is a big season and content. It feels weird to know this would happen. Xdefiant was 2 blocks away, while the bo6 beta felt like a complete gimmick. Ultimately the full game is worse than expected. Surreal.

The finals is fun and all. Very unique game . I hit diamond season 2. But its designed so competitively to the point where it’s like .. if I’m going to play and yall are going to make me sweat might as well play ranked . 3 man teams make solo queue nightmarish at times as well which I believe you are
Man XDefiant was honestly the most fun ive had in an fps in a long time. Especially at launch. Sure they had some server problems but the game modes and maps were pretty good and fun. Their season 1 launch was terrible imo. It felt like they fully turned on sbmm and suddenly every game was just a sweat fest and not fun. I stopped played. Went back last week and the game is still fun. Although it is pretty dead. I couldn't load into a single ranked or escort game which was my favorite game mode.
Classic Ubi. Just think about what they did to R6 when it got revived by Jynxi. The game just kept getting worse and worse as each new season was released and all the changes they were making just made no sense lol. HOPEFULLY Ubifost gets bought out just for XDefiant’s sake😂
Blame truth - I hate to break this to you, but none of this will make any difference to those of us who don't already own the game 😂 I really wish I did. And this is me - someone who was always a cod devotee and who had no interest in Xdf, until black ops 6 came out. I honestly would have given it a go and even went to xbox store, but found it had gone. It's sad really and I agree that cod deserves to fail, because they've deliberately created a glitchy and inconsistent game in black ops 6. You can excuse a poor cod game, but not a deliberately poor cod game.
Finally uninstalled bo6 today. I was trying to get headshots with my marksman rifles when my aim assist would suddenly turn off (on top of getting ghost hitmarkers and packet bursted), to me that was the final straw.
I only got into XDefiant about a week or two before the shutdown announcement. I've played COD and other games like it and XDefiant was truly special. I really REALLY hope Ubisoft gets their head out of their ass and reboots the game or just reassigns the game to another team still active. If not that I hope that someone who also cares about gaming and the game can buy it from Ubisosft and bring it back. It is such a shame that Ubisoft is to money minded to care about actual success and player enjoyment.

I'm level 100 something and wanted this game to thrive but the lack of having ANYTHING to do other than camo grind for hours on end.
Season 2 was all net code fixes. Season 3 was supposed to be all content. Remember, XDefiant was in it for the long haul.
Also, the gun skins are too difficult to get to be worth it. In COD you can win a skin in a couple games, in XDefiant you need DOZENS of games to win anything.
Time to try XDEFIANT again. I'm happy I never deleted the game. Even if it's essentially dead, I would like to play it until it's offline. Personally a game isn't dead until it's unplayable online

there are a couple things we need to keep in mind with this
1. it is a completely different genre of game, those of which have been starved from content by overwatch 2 being so dogshit in its area
2. it is free to play, meaning it takes the first minute of the game launching and you are counted as a player
3. its also a huge IP that has many people jumping to their consoles to try out the game for their favorite characters
the concurrent player count is impressive by any means, but there are many reasons for that

the way that i think about it is that the game is or had had a free to play weekend and with black ops francise being such a well known one and there relece date being a little while ago im unsure if they have even gotten close to that many players since its releace and with there player base dropping at such an alarming rate even in the free to play weekend. and I may be completly wrong and i do apolize if i am but the warzone is also included in the count for bo6 which is a free to play as well.
however I do agree we need to keep other reasons to keep in mind for the info that we are getting its all just crazy to me

Hey BT, just wanted to say that Delta Force doesn't have SBMM. The devs explained further but basically they divide the players into "new" and "everyone else" and matches players with other players of their same category. "new" players are just players under a certain level or a certain amount of matches played, the way it works it's more like to protect newcomers so they can have some time to learn the mechanics but it's just that, there's no good or bad in that game, just new and not new. Delta Force is a really fun game and if the only thing stopping you from playing is the match-making, you can be safe to give it a try and not worry about that

People won't come back to XDefiant mainly because they can't. If you uninstalled the game, it's no longer on the store to be able to redownload. Those who have it are all that remain unless they put it back on again.
The only hope I have for xDefiant is somehow people reverse engineer the game on the server side and we have something like plutonium for it, since it will only be fully offline on June it's enough time to some experienced devs to figure that stuff out if there is enough interest.

What worked for me to get into games faster was turning off input based match making and selecting all of the objective game modes in my custom playlist. Might end up playing only one game mode the whole time but at least it was faster.
XDefiant really needs to be bought out (or all of Ubisoft) and allow it to live. It sucks being in Aus because it's likely no one is playing this with our low pop.

After watching the latest TacticalBrit video I think you might be right about Ricochet just being an ai that changes things in game instead of being an anticheat as he says only the tp 1% of players get banned/shadowbanned and when unbanned the cheaters come back and its just a cycle, so it seems like they're doing something about cheaters but in reality they're just banning the top 1%

Recently I’ve only been playing free for all ONLY, and I’ve caught the game mode filter also adding in Nuketown Holiday 24/7 and Face off moshpit when I NEVER checked off those modes in the filter to begin with. It’s like the game is trying to force me into a lobby to fill the skill bracket of other players
Also I noticed while strictly playing only Free for All for about a week now, since I don’t have a team and I’m the only player working for my own kills, the game is much much funner since I don’t have to rely on my teammates being obliterated just because of a skill algorithm so PSA if you’re tired of losing nonstop cause of SBMM try out FFA it literally feels like a different game cause you’re not being held back

I used to only play COD. I stopped playing COD about 4-5 years ago. Last year got bored and installed and played pretty much only zombies and a little warzone, and even those felt "off". I haven't even pretended to wanna try this BO6 game. I want the entire franchise to die on principle.

Hey BT, I definitely suggest you give the Finals a try. For some context,I have a total of 3400 kills, my kd is around 1.2 and my win loss ratio is abysmall. I only play casual btw. Sometimes I'm facing diamond ranked players with 40000 kills, other times I'm facing low level people that are bad, other times smurfs and everything in-between. Some days i go on winstreaks popping off, some days I'll play well and get 0 wins, other days I'llget destroyed etc. There's a huge disparity between lobbies and it doesn't feel like my matches are affected by the previous ones in any way. The only sure thing is that i feel like I'm improving the more i play so I'm inclined to believe there's no sbmm but who knows. Definitely give it a try though and see what you think.
Dude I've been telling him since December. He wont really give it a chance. Half of these dudes are stuck in the past and want a shooter that feels like Black Ops 2. Meanwhile, The Finals is literally revolutionizing the FPS space and they are missing out on it. There is nothing better out right now and if there is I haven't seen it yet.
@MDDLFNGRS Last multiplayer fps I played was Black Ops 4. I'm someone who plays mostly single-player games. However, I tried the Finals after a friend suggested it, and I'm having a blast. Started playing two months ago, and I've clocked 120 hours. The game truly is something special. I really hope BT will give it a chance.

The finals is fun and all. Very unique game . I hit diamond season 2. But its designed so competitively to the point where it’s like .. if I’m going to play and yall are going to make me sweat might as well play ranked . 3 man teams make solo queue nightmarish at times as well which I believe you are
Man XDefiant was honestly the most fun ive had in an fps in a long time. Especially at launch. Sure they had some server problems but the game modes and maps were pretty good and fun.
Their season 1 launch was terrible imo. It felt like they fully turned on sbmm and suddenly every game was just a sweat fest and not fun. I stopped played.
Went back last week and the game is still fun. Although it is pretty dead. I couldn't load into a single ranked or escort game which was my favorite game mode.
Glad I didn't removed XDefiant. I was trying to play but I couldn't find a lobby most of the time. I hope this will help players to come back
Classic Ubi. Just think about what they did to R6 when it got revived by Jynxi. The game just kept getting worse and worse as each new season was released and all the changes they were making just made no sense lol. HOPEFULLY Ubifost gets bought out just for XDefiant’s sake😂

I honestly would have given it a go and even went to xbox store, but found it had gone.
It's sad really and I agree that cod deserves to fail, because they've deliberately created a glitchy and inconsistent game in black ops 6.

Finally uninstalled bo6 today. I was trying to get headshots with my marksman rifles when my aim assist would suddenly turn off (on top of getting ghost hitmarkers and packet bursted), to me that was the final straw.
As someone who only plays cod for zombies and has never touched xdefiant, I'm just sick of new FPS games, there's too many to pick from
I only got into XDefiant about a week or two before the shutdown announcement. I've played COD and other games like it and XDefiant was truly special. I really REALLY hope Ubisoft gets their head out of their ass and reboots the game or just reassigns the game to another team still active. If not that I hope that someone who also cares about gaming and the game can buy it from Ubisosft and bring it back. It is such a shame that Ubisoft is to money minded to care about actual success and player enjoyment.
