After a bit more testing with it, it’s better to use the panel charge a Flip Charger then use the Flip to charge your mobile. A phone will charge from the solar panel only when light is at it’s greatest.

Thanks but why don’t you ever show the indicator lights and how they work exactly? Do they ever stay on or only flash? How long do they flash? When exactly do they turn on? How many lights can we expect for different weather situations? Would like to know the details.

Got mine for $6 at goodwill today. Works great; some people complain but I find it works perfectly. 🤔 bad batches?

IMO WHINERS, just want more more more & faster faster faster, and dont think to plan ahead,.... and,... TOO OFTEN, People that do NOT even have a product they are crying about. PS Great Find,...... I just Mine for $70. An REI return / AND I was there to get the AA & AAA Battery pack, that would have cost Me $40. So....... Only in the end..... $30. LOL

Mark W Nice score, yourself! Update: with the beer virus getting everyone involved it has had a home in my personal bugout bag since the outbreak. I’ve kept it in shape by taking it out every couple of weeks and using it to charge my self made battery banks. Works like a dream STILL and I couldn’t be happier. It’s the perfect packable size for the patient prepper: bc it does take awhile to charge anything on solar. Ty for the comment, Mark. Hope you and your family and friends are well and staying safe.

No, I doubt it's bad batches, I'd wager that is because the panel provides so little energy. 7 watts is not a lot of power, ESPECIALLY in today's world where phones are charging at 20 watts, sometimes more.
The reduced charging ability compared to modern phones would make people complain.
I got the nomad 7, not the plus, and became of how low powered it was I didn't like it. I had to REALLY work with it to face it to the sun was much as possible to really get any sort of charge on my phone, because lower than 7 watts and it's not gonna charge your phone very well.
I can but a 50 watt solar panel, and directly connect a 3 amp phone charger and get much more power than this panel gets for a better normal price (the guy who got his at goodwill for $6 was lucky!)

Can you just put the panel out to collect sun without charging anything while it is sitting outside and then charge your devices later on?

You would need some sort of battery to do that. The Nomad 7 Plus doesn't have a built in battery, so it can't store any power. So, get an external battery bank of some kind, plug that into the panel and have that charge up. then you can use the battery bank to charge your phone or other devices.

Love it. Area under kick stand deal gets hot not a good choice for shade. I use longer cord and find natural shade for device under charge, weeds, Shrubs whatever. Wrapping in paper bag material keeps things cool and connectors clean. No problem charging 8000 mah pocket charge, should work for lap tops I would think?

Did you get your 13 Watts out of this panel? I made up a test load to check these portable solar chargers. You can look at the video how I made test load... And sadly all these solar chargers, are only making/given you half of what they're stating the power output would be!

Thanks for the explanation about the solar panel. But the one advice I can give you. Is stop slapping the panel every time you say a word.... Very distracting. Dont mean to be mean. Sorry if you think I am.
