    This panel can put out close to 100 watts th-cam.com/users/postUgkxOqI2yqX0XVrhR2BMJciTWrHJpG8FhJyg when positioned in the appropriate southernly direction, tilted to the optimal angle for your latitude/date, and connected to a higher capacity device than a 500. The built in kickstand angle is a fixed at 50 degrees. Up to 20% more power can be output by selecting the actual date and latitude optimal angle.The 500 will only input 3.5A maximum at 18 volts for 63 watts. Some of the excess power from the panel can be fed into a USB battery bank, charged directly from the panel while also charging a 500. This will allow you to harvest as much as 63 + 15 = 78 watts.If this panel is used to charge a larger device, such as the power station, then its full output potential can be realized.

    I think the flexible type are the best for these portable applications. The interconnecting them to increase the area as needed is ideal. I saw one that is using 22% efficiency cells and waterproof for sailboats. Really coming to be useful. Lower power devices with increased efficiency on solar. What a wonderful world for off grid work.

    The solar panels on the plastic film are great. It's possible to use them on anything, because they are cheap to produce.

    • @Zamboro
      @Zamboro 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is lower wattage than rigid monocrystalline panels, but it is more durable because solar film can bend without breaking. Tradeoffs.

    • @HappyHusbandnWife
      @HappyHusbandnWife 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I cant bend without breaking too. And im running on 5kg bag of POTAOES

    • @rbaleksandar
      @rbaleksandar 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Zamboro I think they are not that durable. The wear and tear is something you need to consider. Even if it's bendable you can probably still scratch it by accident and what not.

    So the first one was OK, with both of those solar panel arrays you can probably get around 50W maybe even more. But the rest of them are useless, they have solar panels that are way to small. Also keeping a battery in the sun because it's attached to a solar panel is not a smart idea, these things can get to over 50C when left in the sun.

      according to back of the envelope calculations, the 2nd charger with the USB C port is max 15w. Good luck charging its battery with that. 15w if YOU TRACK the sun with clear sky and reasonable ambien temp... People should understand that solar power is not very good for portable applications cause its energy density is quite low (aka you need a lot of area to make it useful). So a 10*10 or 15*15 cm panel wont do much for charging power consuming devices, only charge a tiny weather station or something...

    Some of these videos show people charging indoors or in the shade. Forget that. To charge in a reasonable amount of time, those solar cells need to be in the full sun. If you want to be in the shade, either charge a battery rather than your smartphone or have a USB cord long enough you can be in the shade.

      The price is a bit higher now... if that's an issue you can also find a smaller model on the same site, or wait a bit longer maybe the price will drop again. If I've learned anything about solar over the years is that the price always drops.

      Deta Imobiliare Apartamente Elon Musk is full of shit! The government pays as much as 40% in subsidies for every car they sell.
      I offered him a deal! A power unit that generates electricity and never needs charging. It would replace that heavy bulky battery making the car lighter and faster. He ignored me!
      I'm putting together two prototypes! Chevy, Telsa, Chrysler, and Mercedes will pay dearly to get my design rights!

    • @donolinger955
      @donolinger955 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vara Rojas - In 1980 there was a magnet motor generator for sale, it quickly disappeared. Before then people found ways to extract energy from the (a)ether, the universe or whatever you want to call it, it's really the Holy Spirit. We're not allowed to have those things it would make the people in charge mad. It would cost the power companies alot of money. Greed runs the world, they think they need our money more than we do.
