This was an interesting pair and I do believe there was something deeper there; their situation and their self doubt prevented anything from going further though, I think. Nevertheless, I totally enjoyed this clip; beautifully composed and greatly portrayed. Keep up the great work!
Finally someone mention this couple, I do believe it’s mutual feeling, maybe Joshua doesn’t understand what that feeling is, or he’s too busy to think of it, or he always in the “ready-to-die” mood so he doesn’t want to involve too deep with another person, but you can see from his body languages that she is something very precious to him ❤
ooh, i do believe it's mutual too! i feel like they wanted to show joshua as someone who was extremely duty-bound, who knows about his own feelings and chose not to pursue them so he wouldn't hurt jote further knowing his death was very likely. thank you for commenting! 💕💕
@@MidnightLullaby7 it’s really been confirmed when he said “which is why I had to let her go”, people just keep picking cherry some details to prove that he has no affection to her. I do think that sent her to Hideaway just to make sure she is safe here, eventhough she is a great fighter and scout, wandering around with Undying is quite dangerous-yeah their things are sickly terrified. When they reunited in the house, just how happy his eyes and smile look like “I’m glad my girl still safe and sound”. She has duty to protect him, but he cannot standing watching her being harmed.
Jote said in one of her conversations with Clive, that Joshua used to say something to the effect of Duty being a burden of living. Jote discovered Joshua wasn't talking about himself but of her; the fact that she had to spend her life watching over him instead of living her own life was a burden to Joshua. I don't think he wanted to love Jote because he felt Jote was with him for the sake of duty; I don't think he realized she was with him for the sake of love as well. His guilt, I believe, is what held him back from going further with her I think.
@@echoplanet2000 Interesting! I already know about that conversation but never think the same, but it’s also make senses. Since Joshua was a child he had low self-esteem, he didn’t think he deserve the Phoenix and everybody trust him because of the Phoenix, not by strength and leadership like Clive. He seems to get over when he’s grown up, but if somewhere deep inside still keeps that thoughts so he doubted whether Jote cares represented what. Other Undying serve him because he is The Phoenix right! And Jote keeps repeating day by day that she’s doing her duty.
@@echoplanet2000 Oh I just watched it again and realise Jote said that (she think) the reason he wanted to free her is a person in high position rarely allows a humble attendant’s care to weigh heavily upon him. That was super sad! Eventhough they’ve spent 18 years together, but when it comes to feelings doesn’t mean they can read each other’s mind, they both misunderstood.

He have to be alive and coming back! It had potential, but unfortunately it never materialized... 💔 I believe in him that he will make it back to life ❤️
oh yeah! i'm of the opinion that joshua survived, i don't think they would go through all that scene of clive trying to resurrect him for nothing, but most people seem to disagree 😩
@@MidnightLullaby7 i guess the most people just want Clive to be alive, but why not both. It doesn't really matter who wrote the book at the end. Both still have a chance of surviving and Clive should not fail as his shield. Jote also literally sacrificed her entire life to help Joshua on his travels. It just feels like shit how he left her behind because it just had so much potential and my hope is also a scene maybe in the DLC where he returns and makes a better reunion as the messed up goodbye because of Tarja.

I think He said to take care of Clives comrades/Friends i think it was, But before that, He said Something else, It was Show in the subtitles in the game, But It Didnt really looked like any normal language, More like an 'Ancient' Language, And with that, He said Something to Jote But Does anyone knew what He said There?
You mean “O mia lost elan, tu isag elythe” - it’s an ancient incantation which can be loosely translated to “My will is now thy burden. Ne’er cleft our bond shall be.” Mostly used to transmiting messages to stolases (like Elwin did in prolongue) and we still don’t know how Joshua did it to a human like Jote.
