I'm so glad we got this CC remaster! Zack really deserves to have his story told in a way lots of people can experience it.
I confess I wasn't planning on touching upon the question of what in the world is going on with Remake!Zack in this video... My initial idea was something focused only on CCR, but I just couldn't avoid it. The ending of Intermission has been living rent-free in my mind since it was released... Everything is just so full of possibilities now!
Editing this, I noticed just how many times Zack promises and emphasizes to Aerith that he will be back. It just makes the whole thing even more tragic, but also... maybe more possibilities to change things in the remake? I know lots of people are not that keen on Zack and/or Aerith surviving this time around, but seeing as both of them are my favorite characters in the story, there's not much more I could want ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I understand the arguments, I just don't necessarily agree with them.
