I'm very surprised to see Derwent on 1st place, since many artists claim on TH-cam it's clearly not. It made me even regret that I applied for a workshop of Derwent, so hopefully you are right.
Thanks for the info, although I don't recall many top 10 list that started with the number 1 item and then worked their up to the 10th best. A real time saver.
An important point to concider when purchasing pencils is: Are they available locally as open stock, or are they just sold as sets or part sets? Pastel pencils are particularly fragile and buying through the internet risks them getting broken in the post. Though good, Derwent can work out to be very expensive as the buyer ends up with various colours that they just don't need because they are not open stock - sold individually. Given they are up against Caran d Ache and Faber Castell they need to have a rethink about how they operate. It might be that through the internet, retailers may be breaking open the Derwent sets to create their own open stock.
Dreadful video. AI that cannot pronounce half the names; Pitt Pastels shown twice; who starts a top ten with number one?! And any artist worth their salt will tell you Derwent's are never considered the best make.
Informative video, but I just can’t deal with the horrible AI mispronunciations. I ended up turning off the video 2/3 of the way through to go find a video with a real human voice.
