Serral was waiting for that brief window of opportunity when Oliviera unsieges the liberators to move forward, and he absolutely pounced on that opportunity blitzing the swarm past the blue circles of death before the liberators could start making a difference. Perfect baneling splits as well. Oliviera knew at that moment that Serral has outmaneuvered him with sheer perfection in tactical timing and micro. Part of me even thinks Serral let the vipers die on purpose so that Oliviera would get a false sense of security and move the liberators forward carelessly.
serral was really not satisfied with game 4 (see how he shook his head), he realised it was a bad engagement to fight. in game 5 he became so patient to use the hatchery as tank and wait until he got the right units to counter. crazy recover
The biggest frustration comes from the fact that Oliveira has been using that 3 base 1/1 upgrade timing push throughout the whole ESL SC2 Masters with 100% winrate (Game 2 is exactly the same, except Oliveira split his army). Serral knew that it was coming and thought he was ready, but he still lost. In Game 5 Oliveira decided to put a curve by stepping on the push pedal with 2/2 upgrade since he thought that Serral would be prepared for the 1/1 upgrade timing push that he's been abusing this tournament. To be fair, I think Oliveira would've won if he just used the 1/1 upgrade timing push because Serral doesn't exactly know what is the right response, that's why he's using different approach in Game 2 and Game 4, which failed.
