i do about 70km a day commuting on my 50cc. And it costs peanuts compared to using the car. I think we have totally underestimated the abilities of these little 50cc bikes
My wife and I have taken many motorcycyle vacations and she said when you take a car your vacation doesn't begin until you reach your destination. On a motorcycle (or scooter) it begins as soon as you leave your driveway. I've never heard a better explanation than hers. Currently we ride a HD trike due to health issues, but I am wanting a scooter and I'm looking at a Kymco X-Town 300i. I think it will be large enough to handle both of us and at highway speeds. We live in the states and a lot of the hightways have a posted 70mph speed lmitis. We usually hold it at 65 mph. So I am asking for your opinion since you are already a scooter owner. Is the Kymco a good choice for us, should I buy it or not. I know it's not a Honda, Suzuki or Yamaha but I read good reports on Kymco scooters. What should I do should I buy it, or should I pass and wait for a deal on a Suzuki Burgman 400 or a Yamaha Xmax?

im not scared too go anywhere on my atm-50cc pony .i will get there but it want be fast as a car there great bikes for adventures cross country i love it it lets me see things i can not see with a car .

Intents Offroad aren't you scared in roads with higher speed limits? Since the scooters struggle to get up to 50mph if they are unrestricted
