A fantastic build 🙏🙏🙏🙏 My dad and I built one when Star Trek: First Contact was released, using the book The Making of Star Trek: First Contact as the reference material. The barrel and grip/stock were two separate pieces, with the side panels on each side covering the join and holding it all together. It was made from MDF using a milling machine, so it's pretty heavy, and of course, no electronics. Like yours, it doesn't have the seatbelt strap, as the MDF wouldn't've had the strength to anchor the spool in place in the stock. It's amazing the difference 24ish years of technology has brought 👍👍👍👍 Kudos indeed 👍👍👍👍

This is awesome well done. If i remember correctly (and I acknowledge I may not) the lore regarding the trigger is that it is a touch/pressure trigger. So you could rest your finger on it without firing it and too fire you'd squeeze it (nothing would move during the squeeze) and the sensor would register the pressure change and fire the phaser.
Is there any chance you could share the details of the components you used? I'm having difficulty getting a speaker and amp setup that can produce reasonable sounds for my rifle.

EEEP I got to say, your resin bottle is covered in resin. Dont handle that without gloves on! Other than that, great build! :D Also another note, best not to use PETG for prop prints. As the plastic is resistant to solvents, which means paints dont adhere to it very well... Over time the paint and filler might start flaking off randomly. ABS, or ASA is better for that. But you need a heated chamber to print in or you get warping.

the LED bargraph looks like it was just sanded down, hmm.
When I did it first time, I filled, sanded and painted. The one you see is the component in it's raw state. Sitting flush with the surface.
