I remember the day as i shake the hand of my biggest idol: Kevin Maddocks...as i read again, again and again his great book: "Carp fever"...i remember my first TITAN (Nash) my mother gave me at my birthday 1998...all the past - the pioneering time of carpfishing- in Great England and Germany...i see it now..as it was / happened yesterday...thank you all...my idols...teachers...for those great moments as we learned from you by the different articles in carp magazines...thank you, that you opened us the door to this great hobby! Also the amount of advertising for Nash stays at a nice level, no overload. I can really feel the entanglement Steve and his wife developed with this special place - well put and it really touches. I found it also stunning how relaxed Steve always stays and obviously how good he treats the fish, looks well experienced. I really like his character and I would like go fishing with him after all - cheers from Germany!

I had the biggest pleasure in meeting Joan and Steve when they were fishing on Nashy's Church Lake, I can honestly say they are the two nicest people in carp fishing. This trip down memory lane is unreal, whilst the majority of credit must go to Steve and Joan for those wonderful captures and memories, a big, big shout out needs to go to the boys behind the scenes who put this together, the editing is sublime, the music absolutely perfect. Great job guys, great job indeed.

So many memories of this beautiful lake. I first went in September 2001 and used the English guy who had taken over Gérards for the trip and had no idea and was way out my depth until i spoke to Gérard who was just hiring out boats at the time but he was a diamond and always helpful. Tragic part of the trip was sitting in gerrards restaurant and having a meal with the owners and watching gobsmacked as 9.11 happened.

I know this got uploaded a few years ago but i wonder if the tiny koi at 15:55 is the big koi what ive seen on videos from drones over cassien. These videos inspired me to go to cassien later this year and hopefully many more to come.
Very enjoyable Steve its heartening that you keep going back not because it holds the biggest carp but both you and Joan love the place for what it is and obviously fond memories it has given you.
I worked with Alan Taylor in the late 80’s and he was always going off to the mystical lake in France to catch big guns. We were happy learning how to catch mid doubles here thinking they were big guns, little did we know. RIP Alan. Great video, what a partnership!
