I rarely comment on TH-cam videos but I must comment on Franks videos he does with you guys, they’re fantastic I love them and always take something from each video. Thanks Frank and everyone involved in putting these videos together x
There is no magic formula for fishing such busy lake's. Its angler's that change everything about it you can't move you can't bait spots you have people's old bait in your swim before you start ..I hate everything about busy waters just don't enjoy my fishing on them no matter how big the carp are. The best way I've found in the past is rest the swim don't fish the night's let the carp move into safe water free food and one Rod is all it takes on such waters but no one really has the mind set to try it and really see the benefits. Try it do it don't be like everyone else three rods all day all night out in the swim..you fishing 3 night's...rest it for 2 nights and day then set your trap only takes one fish ...as one is better than nothing
Thats the huge problem with Bluebell, it really really badly over fished. Don' get me wrong, I love the place, it's fabulous, the facilities are great, the lakes are great. Unfortunately, for that reason, it is constantly busy. They really need to let the place have a resting season, mainly for the sake of the carp. It is just getting constantly over fed. I was there a fews weeks back for a 3 day session. I was on King Fisher, which is a notoriously hard water. I seen 1 carp come out over the 3 days, a nice 32lb mirror. I seen one behind me on Bluebell. I had 1, absolutely screaming run, in the corner margin, where I had waded out and hand dropped a perfect presentation. Unfortunately after the screaming run, I got pestered to death by the swans that had obviously seen me walking out and baiting my spot, so nothing after that. I think it would be a good idea to rest the place for at least a month, obviously, that will loose them money.... If they don't do something to stop the over feeding, I think it will lose them a lot more. IMO
Strange subject ‘Moon phases’ having checked back over many years the ‘New Moon’ seems to be more relevant to my bigger captures, always a good watch, Frank 👍🐟
Yes Frank, agree on the larger hooks, since using 4's most of the time now, my results have improved. Have you been to the St Lawrence since 2001? You were on the same trip as me with Andy Shattock, good video mate, keep doing it. Ian
At last someone fishing their butt eye correctly just before the alarms. As always thought provoking and weirdly encouraging because on such places everyone blanks, but providing each time you come away with a few things you have leant you are that much closer to catching the next time out. I have never been much influenced by moon phases except floater fishing at night when I am convinced they can be more active surface feeding under a full moon on a warm night…but that will have to wait until next year now to try!
3 rods fishing a bowling lane. Crammed in like sardines, otters running around. Best pegs stitched up. Arguments over whos water is whos . Welcome to bluebell
Great watch as all videos with mr Warwick 👍 tells it as it is and has so much knowledge, could listen to him all day 👌 I tried the fluorocarbon leader thing when using braid but kept tangling,is this because of the difference in diameter/suppleness?
Very good video again Frank👌. You always make me think about my own angling which I really like about you. What length fluorocarbon leader do you use mostly?
What stopped me putting fluorocarbon on my spools Was seeing mates rods with it and I could see the lines further out from the tips mid water than my mono and I thought that when fishing with tighter lines it would be more of a hindrance than mono. Like the ideas of putting fluorocarbon leaders on and slacking off just enough to lays the leaders down on the bottom
Yes it depends on the water and what’s drifting in it. We all know you periodically have to clean fluorocarbon which for some reason collects suspended crap like a magnet. I have seen just what you say, midwater flouro actually bring far more visible covered in weed and muck. Resting on the bottom is different,,,,which lends to Franks conclusion that it is best kept for leader use than a poorly casting expensive mainline!
I don’t think moon phases do naff all I tried to book things on full moon build up week……still couldn’t get right swim! Too many variables…..just go……enjoy it
I agree. The full and new moon phases do have an influence on the tidal flow for Sea Fishing (spring tides) which could improve your chances of a bite. But i am doubtful that there is any firm evidence that it increases your catch rate on freshwater fisheries.
correlation doesnt equal causation, you didnt catch more carp because of a bigger hook, carp lads draw stupidly wild comparisons with too many variables involved to have accurate conclusions. Just chuck a bait out and relax, easy

Honest and I'm sure everyone watching will know this.
You make these films and it gives me an ideal for my next trip.
Keep them coming Frank..
Really enjoyed this Frank - a no nonsense down to Earth video full of good advice from an ‘Old School’ Carper. More of this please!
Awesome Frank fantastic as always 👌🎣🎣

Great tips on day tickets frank and so glad your honest on your blanks , not like the other tossers fair play

Legend!

Qaulity watch as always simon 🎣👊
What length of flouro leader would you use Frank ,fishing a small 3 acre syndicate water.. Cheers.
Nice One Frank Big Moon = Big Commons or so they Say 👌
Can you demonstrate how to tie that long mono d rig please?
Nice video, very informative, but sound is quite low on phone 🙏👍
Oh dear... Frank was One of My favourite Carp angler, since 20 years Ago... Watching this video for 10minutes... HEARTBREAKING😢
So it’s fairly weedy and the clay rubber is locked solid over clip?
What reels you using ? I've got some prologic fulcrum 7000fd an there heavy for a reel at 772 grams
When I saw the thumbnail that Frank was going to tackle Swan Lake, I thought it might be a ballet video…
Easy when you have the lake to your self
Great watch my wife said to me is that Paul chuckle I said yes and she watched whole thing with me 😂😂😂
🤣
Great video and a good view on angling!! But shut your eyes and it’s Noel Gallagher
Barry chuckle at the start with his bru

Sounds as if your mate didn't have enough slack to allow the fluorocarbon to bed down. Fluorocarbon is denser than mono.

Hook size I thought was Influenced by wire gauge hook penetration surely a size 8 a thinner wire gauge hooks easier in return more runs/conversions
Crowy has said he studied all the captures that were reported to carp talk and there was no relation to the moon whatsoever
Its better to go on your own observations, but if you want to take others peoples observations, thats upto you.
@@matthewcadle7200 i personally don’t think there’s anything in it, the theory is flawed in my opinion
You have to take what ever gives you confidence, and run with it 👍 @@Niiiiiiiiiii
He'll also tell you that avid make good gear 😂
You do no that you will not catch the size of fish if you are not using Avid Terminal Tackle. It will double your catch rate 😂🤣@@Simmsited236
I'd find somewhere quiet instead

I love my fishing, but at the end of the day we're pitting our brains against the brains of a fish. If i catch i catch if i don't so what.
Did I just see frank warwick fold his handles what the actual fook!!!!!!
Moon phases affect the tides of the sea and tidal rivers, not lakes where there is no tide

It's not a blank,You just run out of time.
