Ring of Haste is a must for the Tyrant. Getting another bottom action after you've used concentrated rage means another amazing attack. Add in the solo scenario item and it's almost game breaking.
heya, just came back to let u know u got me into this game, my second favourite game of all time, and that i'm very grateful for how u chose to make these videos ✨🫶 very pleasant voice & video style man, love ya!
One thing I have a hard time with in your videos is knowing Which cards you would remove from your hand first after leveling? Loving the videos otherwise and they've been super helpful!
For enhancements, the best quality of life improvement for BT is regeneration on disappearing wounds top, imo. Regen will basically stay up forever and allow you to perpetually top bear off with BT's health using borrowed essence. Assuming, of course, you're not charging into the fray with little ratboy.
Hey I recently got back into this game digitally with a friend. I have been watching your videos for advice on a few characters and I really appreciate your help. I wonder though why only a few of your videos have build paths, and recommended builds and selections per level? I find those videos much better.
I really appreciate your videos. They really helped me my first time playing gloomhaven ever it was hard at first but you really broke down how to utilize the human scoundrel's cards and it was a great character once I knew how to play her properly I just unlocked this class last night and I am so excited
Great video! I just started BT and it’s by far my fav class played so far! The concentrated rage build sounds like the way to go; I can’t wait to try it out. I’d also like to try, for grins and giggles a bottom card earthen spikes build & just summon a ton of beasts and let them have at it!
@@neuralnetgames6540 just played BT with a Tinkerer (of all classes)! Used Earthen Spikes and in addition to my summons, gave Harmless Contraption & Dangerous Contraption the +2 🛡shield & +2 retaliate ✊. It worked out pretty well!
Ok, just found out that Earthen Spikes only lasts one round & not for the remainder of the scenario. Bam 💥 Not quite as good as I thought. 🤷♂️ Well, mis-played that one!
do you loose Concetrated Rage if you play the bottom of the card? Also how do you get 2 attacks? Is the attack of the bear itself? how do you 2x3 plus the bear attack? not well explained!
I liked the Command move 5 which I enhanced with jump, and paired with Maul. Great for long scenarios or avoiding monsters with retaliate. I did the concentrated rage build. This and lightning bolts are (so far) the most fun classes
At the 8min mark when talking about Concentrated Rage, you mention multiple bottom attacks then the bear attack ( 3 x +3), does anyone know how these multiple bottom atatcks are done? the only way i can see it is with the level 9 card "Jaws of Death". If there is another way please let me know! thanks :)
Great video for my favorite class! I fully recognize that focusing on the bear's rage attacks is the optimal build, but... I find it pretty boring. I like talking Tyrannical Force and Ancient Ward, but also using Concentrated Rage to kinda dance back and forth between the bear and tyrant. Also, hot take, I think Vicious Ally is overrated. I was rarely able to use both attacks since the bear usually moved before and ruined the positioning. I'm personally a big fan of Unstoppable Beast.
ok technical rule question, our house rule is you can only use the effect of concentrated rage once a battle as its a lost card, which makes tyrant quite underwhelming. Are we playing it right or is concentrated rage retained after using its ability despite being a lost card?
Is this for new players, or advanced? How does the bear get summoned? What does command mean? You started talking about cards 1st but I dont understand how the bear and the cards work together. You said some players don't move the beast master? I'll check out someone else's video then come back.
Hi, you have probably already figured it out but I am leaving a comment here for newcomers :) This guide is a damage oriented, most "optimal" build for the Beast Tyrant. The bear is a summon which is instantly summoned without any actions at the start of the scenario. Command actions have a little Bear Icon at the top left corner. You can decide for those actions whether you want to perform them with the Beast Tyrant or the Bear. For that reason some players constantly give commands to the Bear and play with it as a character while they leave behind the summoner. This can get tricky though as the Bear will always perform AI actions first and sometimes gets itself into really messy situations :D So it is better if the Beast Tyrant is around to heal him/her or disarm/stun enemies to prevent further damage.

This would be great if we owned forgotten circles.

I just unlocked BT too! Good luck 🎉

Welcome aboard! Let me know how it goes with the summon build!

Oh lightning bolt, how I love thee! BT pretty sick too
Thanks for the great video and info in the process of unlocking this class. I wanted to see your strategy for this class
The solo item seems pretty fun, but the idea of playing a solo session is so bizarre for a cooperative game.

Ya other builds work too and they are fun
Gotta go active Tyrant build. Best way to play
fun for sure!
Great video!
8:27 You say "two bottom" attacks. How is that possible? You can only do one bottom action, right? How do you get a second attack?
i know this is a year later but i think hes talking about the level 9 card. i was puzzled as well
I wish Patch Fur top had an enhancement dot, it would be busted!
Lol yes it would!
The mini have mechanics like swap 2 enemy minon. For example a ritual obelist or a tree or etc(quest objects) can be swapped?
No. Figure means Enemy monster or Allies (including also other characters, or the Tyrant itself)
ok technical rule question, our house rule is you can only use the effect of concentrated rage once a battle as its a lost card, which makes tyrant quite underwhelming. Are we playing it right or is concentrated rage retained after using its ability despite being a lost card?
It's not a loss, it's a scenario persistent, play it on turn 1 and use it for the rest of the scenario
you can tell by the infinity symbol on the card that it's supposed to last the whole scenario
How many playthroughs did you play to get all this knowledge? :o
How could they afford all those enhancements if they didn‘t even have the loot-card?!
hahahaha I have no idea, too long ago to remember. Probably cheating though...
