Most beautiful pools I have ever seen! I am a solid drive into tally valley to my special locals only unspoilt fresh Waterhole rather than drive 3 mins to the beach girl 1000%!! My kids have sll grown up at my local secret waterhole. I can only pray that I win the lotto so I can buy a house and then get these guys in to create me my own special paradise. I love all their work! The Gold Coast needs one of these big lagoons like Woodford!
Absolutely amazing feature. After a few years of operation, are you now finding that much sediment builds up in the deep area just before the intake bay? Seems that maybe a lot of fined debris would settle out there. Also the shallow water area of the sand beach, behind the jets. I'd be curious to see how that looks when the sand is really stirred up. Great video.
Apologise for the late response here , yes I do. The big projects are great but can be very stressful as a lot is going one. I like smaller designs . Really its not about the size of the project but about what they bring to an area, how they incorporate in the most natural way possible aesthetically and in function.

Hi Matt , I had specific flow rates to achieve and at the minimum power requirement possible . I asked a major pump supplier to arrange pumps to those specs and at a maximum frictional head of 2.8 meters.
Because of the intended use we want to achieve mesotrophic or better conditions (which we have ) otherwise we cannot guarantee the water quality for recreational swimming in the numbers that swim there - 20,000 or more over 6 days! In a clay lined dam it is impossible to manage nutrient loads sufficiently for the intended use plus it would've become totally turbid when people entered and used it.
In our system you can see individual pebble to the 5.5 meters depth while floating on the surface and it remains crystal clear always. We get a lot of enquiry about converting dams without lining, if the dam holds water then it is possible to drain and line the dam with Geotextile covered with sand to stop the sediment issues but you would also need to address overland flow into the dam as otherwise after the first big rain it will be full of sediment again and eventually return to its former state. There is a lot more going on here in the design and specification of the filtration and circulation system then is visible. It's the difference between a successful outcome that is in line with client expectation. There is no quick fix .

There are some very large Blue crayfish in their now. Wont be an issue

I think it needs trees at the waterline to break up the rocks
Yes , that was 4 years ago and 3 months old .
All growing in well now, progression plantings etc well on the way.
