How to !!Test!! IR Sensor.. To Id Pins you select diode test on Multimeter. Only 2 Pins will show mV result and then you now how GND - Plus also where Signal Pin are..

Actually I have an old DD free dish box unfortunately it's remote controller is not available in the market I've got a solution that is to replace it's ir sensor receiver with any of the new setup box, is that possible sir? Will it work or it is going to damage the box?
