Hello friends, today in this video i have shown how to make a Proximity sensor using tsop1738 ir receiver. The circuit is very sensitive so it can be used for long-range application.

I’ve never bought any electronic components or ICs online and have only got my circuit boards from dumpsters . I don’t have any of the 2pin IR receiver LEDs but I have plenty of the 3pin kind in this video plus several that are a black box with a round bubble that sticks out, ones like that but the bubble extends down to the base, and I have one that is round like an LED but it had a smooth flat service on the side. I’ve got all mine from TVs and their remotes, cable boxes, and I have one that is a black rectangular square that has 2 small round bowl shapes in the top with a divider. And I also have a fancy one thT came out of a keurig espresso machine and that has 3 LED looking things where 2 are kind of tilted towards eachother, along with another smaller one with only 2 led eyes. I’ve scoured my circuit boards and have not located a bc547, but have maybe a half dozen 2n2222-to92 transistors. I got several buzzers to choose from As welll, and of course resisters and capacitors are plentiful. Will I be able to make one of these if I reverse the pins on a 2n2222 from a bc547? Also is there any 8dip or larger pin configuration ics I can use that contain the same specs of a bc547? Sorry if I sound like a noob, well it’s because I am.😁

@Aashish Dhiman I think if you cover the transmitting end with some translucent tape (multiple layers of transparent tape or something similar) it might work
@Aashish Dhiman does it work when remote is turned away? (The buzzer may not be turning on due to high resistance so try changing the resistor connected to it or use a tightly fixed wire, I had similar issue but fixing the loose wires solved it for me.
@Aashish Dhiman in the end if all fails, redo the circuit and change the remote if possible. (I used the tiny one that comes with rgb lights) best of luck!

Why doesn't the circuit work when a continuously lit infrared LED illuminates the receiver? Why is it necessary to flash at some arbitrary frequency? (Which the old remote makes here.)
