I want to scan a stack of unrelated documents...pages 1-5 might be a loan application, pages 6-17 might be a credit report, page 18 might be a copy of a driver's license, etc. I'd like to save the documents to different files (...again possibly unrelated) on my OneDrive. Can I do this with my HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw? I would like to be able to scan my "in-box" and sort them out as need, in short. I have the HP Smart app loaded currently, and I can't figure out how to get this easy task done. HELP PLEASE!!!!
+E jay Scanning multiple pages to separate files from the feeder do possible with your device. Open the HP Scan Software under Start > All App > HP > Your printer model's folder. I'm using a M681z. Can I scan from a USB attached Windows10 laptop? I have the full drivers installed and my laptop can print ovwr USB but it doesn't see it as a scanner. I only have scanning options that require network attachment. I will be in a situation for a few months that will have no network support.
+Lil Pump You may perform manual double-sided scanning by scanning from your PC. Using HP Scan software would be the efficient way to scan multiple photos. Place the document or photo printed side down on the scanner glass, then close the scanner lid.

I have a M428FDW and I can only get multiple pages PDFs from the auto-feeder while using the touch panel. I cannot find the "SCAN MODE" options on the menu to be able to feed each page manually from the glass table. I can do it from the PC, using the software suit from your 123 website, but the computer is not on the same room as the M428, so that's not feasible. I need to do it from the device panel. Am I missing something or my unit is defective? Please, help.
@@HPSupport Thank you for trying to help. Unfortunately, the document you linked is about scanning from Windows, and I even mentioned that I already know how to do it from the PC, and that is not an option for some of my needs. The problem is trying to use the touch panel to do multiple pages documents from the glass, like the M428FDW does from the auto-feeder. I can't find how to toggle the "feed next page" button to appear, so the internal software only creates single-page documents from the Glass. That's contrary to what is advertised about this product, so I believe there is a fault somewhere in the firmware that was introduced after the product was launched, or both me and HP's local tech support are incredibly incompetent in operating this unit. And yes, I took my MF to the nearest HP Service Center and they got baffled by this problem too - it's been a couple weeks and they did not find a solution and suggested me to return the unit if I'm not happy with it. I would prefer to solve this and keep it. Can you help me?
