Amazing! I ordered one of these recently and their customer service is absolutely top-notch. If you're looking for hand-carved candles for a gift or celebration, you'd be crazy to pass this up. With shipping you'd be looking to spend under €20 for one of these beauties. 10/10 will shop again.
So I feel like I should tell you. I believe you chose an amazingly accurate name for this design. I was watching the video and my 3 year old sat down beside me (she had seen the colors and got interested). After a few minutes, she proclaims, "Daddy! It's an octopus!"... I marveled at that recognition... because she doesn't yet know that word by sight (I tested before commenting)... so she didn't read the word... she thought it actually looked like an octopus!
The candle is beautiful. When he got finished with the candle he moved to make another candle like no biggie just another masterpiece. I know this is random but what genre of music is the song in the video?
@@maepf3290 , the best way to start is obtaining a 6-point tapered star mold, and carving wax (about 142 degrees if memory serves) Pour clear wax into the star mold (this will be your core). Dip the core into clear wax to build up multiple layers and use that to practice with. If you make mistakes, (and I did) just re-melt and start over. It's a great practice until you get comfortable to then start using colors.
@@maepf3290 FYI - Don't use candle release spray. If it gets into the dipping wax, it'll cause issues as layers won't stick to each other. (a lesson I learned the hard way) I put the candle core mold into the refrigerator to help it release. I've had dozens in there are one time. I then let them warm to room temperature prior to dipping/carving. I would do one candle every 7 minutes. Then allow them to fully harden before dipping them into a glaze of floor wax thinned out with denatured alcohol. I did bleached bees wax, carved pillar and taper candles. and sand candles. To level the candles, I would spin them by the wick (about 4-6 inches) and lower them down onto a hot place while spinning. The spin helped ensure they were level.
when they slice it and twist it then put it back why do they start at the top not the bottom they end up pressing it down anyway why not start at the bottom

저 양초를 뭐라고 부르는지 알려주실분 ...
Una pregunta como se hace para poderle dar esa forma, como se llama esa técnica?
La palabra que se viene a mi mente es «tallado» de «tallar»
Anybody know the song??
Eu ia ter pena de usar essas velas

Mindy F more control when slicing down than up.
Mindy F and so it's thicker at the bottom and thinner at the top.
The top part looks a bit like toothpaste.
Looks like toothpaste
