hey friend try loading dummy ammo to test the loading procedure; next confirm proper gas system ( gas tube alignment AND buffer/spring) . Different ammo provides various amounts of gas which will cycle the action differently. Good job and Congrats!

Tried that already with dummy rounds still had the same effect. I also tweaked the gas a bit as well. Thanks for you advice though! I hope I can figure it out soon!

Question my friend... youtube, X, other sites, internet blowing up all over SDI for being a scam. Question? SDI gave you the whole weapon to build right? Not just a lower receiver? And how would you rate your experience with SDI? Do you really build a muzzle loader in this program?

@@rb58761 Yes, I am well aware of the recent opinions surrounding SDI. I plan on making a video regarding the entire situation soon so I won't share much as of now. What I will say is this; don't listen to everything and everyone and take it as truth. Take it from me, someone who has been at SDI twice. Did the school do everything right...absolutely not, no school will. Nothing is perfect. Also to answer your question, yes they did sent the "entire" firearm completely disassembled for me to then assemble. You also get to build a muzzleloader only if you take the Associates Degree program. The muzzleloader unfortunately is left out of the certificate program. I would rate my experience with SDI as very well for certain reasons and very poor for many others. It's really a mixed bag. I would say I enjoyed my time and I learned a lot, but as I mentioned, I am saving that for a video! I have many reviews on SDI as well as a final review on the entire school and my time there if you would like to check it out. However, like I said, since this recent news is spreading about SDI, I took it upon myself to collect my thoughts and make an entire video dedicated to this specific situation so please tune in here next week to hear my opinions and thoughts from someone who has actually attended and graduated from SDI.

Let’s face it, aren’t all colleges a scam? It in no way makes you a more capable worker or professional. It is just a way for people to get rich preying off of people. I am an SDI current student and you get what you should expect. You learn basic principles but you never truly build a gun from scratch because you get no hands on machining instruction. That said, I do like it a don’t think it is any more of a “scam” than any other higher education institution.

I’m thinking about enrolling, interview coming up in a few days, genuine question, do you keep the AR or do they have you send it back?

Hey, thanks for commenting! So yes you get to keep the firearm you build! If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out!
