Freaking Genius! That was cool to watch! That has to be very satisfying, having the ability to make your tool rather than having to leave the shop to go buy one that probably wouldn’t even be as functional / durable. It’s a pleasure to watch people work who know their trade like that. Thanks for sharing that knowledge and your idea , kind sir!
Not sure why anyone would dislike. The build is simple, clever, inexpensive, scalable to larger sizes, compact and quick to fabricate. Okay fine, you can't use it to fly to Mars. I concede.
Pretty slick idea and I like its final use. Just a thought, if you cut off two sides of the square plate it is mounted to you will be able to store it in most shop drawers and it could still be clamped in the vice. Thanks for taking the time to post.
Wow something that someone made that's homemade that isn't entirely useless it makes Ben's in metal that I haven't seen other Benders to my knowledge possible
Where do I begin to comment? Absolutely genius application of shop skills; the welding and oh, the grinder work to make that forming post! Wow! Last but not least, that background music track was great listening to, not too loud, not distracting.
I was surprised to see a mime in a metalworking tutorial! Clever idea, and impressive freehand machining accuracy. The clamping application at the end is a great way to utilize scrap steel banding. Thanks.
Great video and very slick design. I have a big diameter, short bolt and nut. I think I will weld the bolt head to the plate and eliminate one of the nuts.
Great collection of tools and creative generation of new ones. Awesome workmanship. neat hands. God bless you! Thanks for the video. Few weeks back I struggled with 4mm GI wire for rcc slab. I wish I had this tool. managed with a 4mm cut in small wood block and plier, rather crude way
Overall, this is a highly informative and enjoyable video for anyone interested in engineering. It showcases your talent and I look forward to watching more of your content in the future 👍👍👍
Great little tool very clever. My 2 cents is to invest in some metal cutting paste for thread cutting, makes it heaps easier and preserves taps and dies.I'm a huge fan of Rocol products, cheers
lol...Thought the piece of rod you were bending was a demonstration of 'just bending'.... but turned out that was just as cool 'a' gadget as the bender - Top work :)
Great project. Suggestion; show the completed project first to give us a view of what you're going to make, then we can understand the fabrication steps better.
I really liked the tool you made. When you started bending the rod I thought you were just showing how it worked. The tool and the piece you made are both quite useful
Would you be able to make one of these for me? I really need it for a project. I already broke a tube bender trying to get some tight bends on some 4mm stainless rod. I cant find any other benders that can do the tighter bends other than the small ones that are meant for thin tube.
Hi there, great diy tool, i dont have a welder or a tap and die set, what size was the threaded bar and also what size are the nuts, ummmm, sir what country are you in ?, do you sell these ? Great tool not to big and it dont take up much room.

I swear this has to be the most recommended video in history. Every damn time I come on TH-cam your thumbnail pic is right there waiting on me...

I have seen loads of tools for bending. Most have bearing in them. This is just class using a nut and bolt as you have. Top idea. love it.
very cool idea thanks for sharing this video
this is good work thanks brother for the idea.. but can i use this one to make zigzag spring or it cant work?thank you
Just made one today after trying out her type I found this to be a solid design
Thank you
I really like it, I want to make it because in Indonesia it is still very manual, greetings from BALI Indonesia

Rigid tubing benders that are slightly modified to allow a greater range of bends work great, for instrument fitting and steam tracing.
Goog idea 👌
great idea
Complimenti siete molto bravi vi faccio tanti auguri tanta felicità tanta gioia e tanta fortuna🙋🙋🙋
A nice tool for various rod making, like accelerator linkage etc. Thank you for posting, thumbs up!

Hi! I would like to ask, can it make a full circle (360°), smaller larger diameter? Thank you!
Great video bro very good
Nice idea and useful. When i come across the materials I'll make it.

Mr. D yes but show the tool in action to show people if they can achieve their desired effect before committing to watching the whole thing
