    There’s a factory inside you that weighs about 1.4 kilograms and runs for 24 hours a day. It’s your liver: the heaviest organ in your body, which simultaneously acts as a storehouse, a manufacturing hub, and a processing plant. Emma Bryce gives a crash course on the liver and how it helps keep us alive.
    Lesson by Emma Bryce, animation by Andrew Zimbelman for The Foreign Correspondents' Club.

    My father was an alcoholic. After his death and autopsy they found his liver to be as hard as a rock and very dark. Now I'm not saying drinking is bad, but things like alcoholism does do damage to your Liver. It is a very important organ and shouldn't be mistreated.
    Please, don't over do things the way my father did :/. Treat your liver with care.

      But why did your father undergo autopsy? .... In my country until and unless you have unusual cause of death, like a road traffic accident or burns, you don't have an autopsy done..

    • @h3ct0rgr
      @h3ct0rgr 10 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      Sanjog Sharma Depending of the cases, many countries have mandatory autopsies. For instance, in Mexico when someone dies at home and is moved for whatever reason it has to be taken to forensics, that is not the case if they die at the hospital or are pronounced dead by a doctor.

    These videos are fascinating, but I just can't get over the way this guy talks. He has a nice voice, but he speaks so low in his throat that it makes him sound like a sleepy chain-smoker. I can actually hear his vocal folds being squished to make his voice sound so low. I know it shouldn't bother me, and it won't keep me from watching these TED-Ed videos... but if he tries to just relax, let his voice come from the part of his larynx that it wants to, and speaks up a bit, it'll sound much more smooth, awake, and easy to listen to. Otherwise, the video is great, and he has great diction and 'clarity.' Just throwing this suggestion out there.
