- So Korone and Marine were trying to see who could beat Mega Man 2 faster. Both of them encountered their own difficulties and speedbumps, but Air Man is universal.

It's funny that this painful fight, hard enough that a song was made about it, can be cheesed by standing in the corner, surviving three tornadoes, and the spamming Leaf Shield. Anticlimatic as it gets.
I love how they both went about it the same way, immediately trying to cheese and barely dodging in panic

I remember going for Air Man first as my first stage of choice because he looked the 'coolest' alongside Quickman and Metal Man. I got so used to him I barely get hit by his projectiles. I only learned about him being weak to Woodman during the boss rush stage accidentally. My disappointment at the time was immeasurable.

Wrecked? That was really good for a first attempt. Korone was one Leaf Shield short of getting it first try, and she would have won if she had switched to P instead of Metal Blade. Senchou had enough Leaf Shield to do it second try but her chat gave her bad advice so it's no wonder she messed up
Air Man isn't that hard once you understand his pattern. Quick Man is way harder, but no one wrote a song about him :(
I always thought Quick Man was easy even on my first try. Fuck Air Man, though. Cheese the fuck out of him.
@@LemonRush7777 I consider it one of my great accomplishments that I was able to buster duel Quick Man in his stage and win once. I'm confident I could take out Air Man buster only from a full health bar
Yeah, i never found airman hard at all. Quickman's always a jerk to fight with how he just kind of hyperactively jumps around the screen like a kangaroo on a sugar high though

Right weapon, wrong tactic - they should've waited for Air Man to finish his first jump cycle, then fired up the Leaf Shield while standing still behind him. Easy peasy way to win.

When Korone's leaves were blown away she was shocked just like when an anime protagonist's special move doesn't work on a villain.
I remember trying to beat these old games back when I was a kid. I played Mega Man 2 after playing 5 and 3, so I was used to having the slide. To this very day I feel like you should have the slide to help you get around those randomly placed tornados. I swear half of those patterns are undodgable.
Yeah. They would work well with the slide in mind. Same goes for the refined engine. Also, the Leaf Shield flying off like that when you move is certainly aggravating. Fire Storm did a better job as a shield weapon without it being an actual shield weapon.
They aren't undodgable, they just require a lot of skill to dodge.
I love how they keep trying to shoot past the tornadoes, constantly failing and just going "what's going on?" like the game was bugged or something.

No matter how I try to dodge all his tornados he just kills me again
And even though I can get behind him its no use I try to fight but get blown away in the end
I shoot as fast as I can
But when I had to go against airman’s tornado I was helpless again.
I’ll try again, of course
But this is my plan: I’ll keep my E tanks in reserve just as long as I can.

When I fought airman it never occurred to me to use the leaf shield as he was attacking. I either attacked him after his tornados with the Mega buster or leaf shield after he started his jump pattern. I mean I assumed if his tornados deflected the Mega buster it must be able to deflect the shield too.
But I also had no idea you could just position yourself right behind him after he does his jumps.

Rockman was truly hard, US Mega Man 2 was broken, metal blade almost kills all the bosses.
