Right? I mean you could make that into a religion. It explains one of the most fundamental question of every religion. If god exists, why doesnt he interact with us - because we already surpassed everything he can give us on our own. We are complete on our own.
If god doesn’t exist then why and how are we here. I refuse to believe that our lives are pure happenstance. If god doesn’t exist, then why do millions choose to believe and follow him?
There's honestly an interesting worldview expressed here. Korone casts the zoo as a place of torment for animals that humans amuse ourselves with, but also has a view of humanity as self-perfecting, to the point where God finds himself unable to provide us with blessings that we haven't already made, including love. The love part is key, because the idea that humanity is so powerful and cruel that even God can't keep pace with us is one thing, but instead the cruelty of humanity isn't an inherent part of it. Instead it seems to be blindness, the kid is having fun at the zoo but is unable to comprehend the torment of the animal he's viewing, the kid on the bike cannot be stopped the same way love cannot be stopped, and even the last picture shows obsessiveness as being part of how Korone sees human behavior. We are beings that can surpass our creator and who are able to love so deeply we don't *need* the gift of it, but we're also self-absorbed and can have a narrow understanding of the world that prevents us from seeing what we're doing.
Fascinating. It's true that we as a species have a lot of potential. I'll disagree about the need for God, but we'll only go deeper on that if that's something that you're willing to do.
I'm not an artist, but I've always been impressed by the composition of a lot of Korone's art. She has a good sense for colour, weighting, light and dark space, and symmetry. She also has a real knack for the uncanny.
korone's really deep. i really like her drawings because they're not just drawings that had meaning thrown onto them, they were made WITH the meanings in mind, and you can read the art as a story. seriously love the way she depicts god though
Even from the start, Korone's drawings are actually pretty deep in meaning. She did put a lot of thought in what she made, no matter how mad it looked.
The Picasso of Hololive Edit: I'm not kidding, I'm serious. Her paintings carry many meanings, telling us about ourselves, about how we somehow don't need blessings from gods, but how we are full of ourselves and how cruel we are. She is indeed a genius telling us those through child-like paintings.
