Sure warrent might be nice, but regarding the 2016/17 was the worst generation I wouldn't buy it even with warranty even if I got a good deal(reasonably). So yeah I think so you got a very bad deal.
I think the m1 MacBook air would have is actually be a good option because it is more powerful but also close to the price range and you can find deals to reduce that price.

I definitely agree with the comments about how helpful a monitor is - I recently picked an old one up and have LOVED it. One benefit you didn’t cover - especially during this time when we’re spending so much time at our setups, ergonomics are key and a monitor will make you look forward instead of hunched down uncomfortably. Pick one up and your body will thank you!

I think its ok it worked for me at the time, what I would do is find iPhones that are being sold undervalued purchase them and then just take good pictures and put them back on Facebook marketplace, gum tree or eBay and sold it for profit. I made a decent amount doing this however it became harder when I had to do other things such as school mainly because you constantly have to be on your phone looking for deals to scoop up before someone else does so know what your getting yourself into, you also need to be quite familiar with iPhone prices and half decent at negation as well as the fact you need a bit of starting capital. However this could be something to do in the summer when you have a lot of time.
