Awesome video. I'm 45 and have never ridden a skateboard..I did snowboard for many years. I bought my first e board and I'm very excited to try it.. Thank you again for the great video
Thanks for watching! Wear your gear! Us old farts break easy 🤣. I just added a pair of hip protecting crash pants to my ensemble. They go under my shorts. Just $20 on Amazon 🙌
Glad to see you geared up. Esk8s are awesome and so much fun, but we all take spills. Looks like you’ve got the important parts covered (knees, head, wrists). Consider getting some hip protectors if you haven’t - snowboard and skateboard stances lend themselves to landing on your forward hip, and that sucks. Or just keep it at a chill speed under 15 and it shouldn’t be too bad if you do fall😅
Can I take this 3 miles to the store on imperfect roads, unavoidable cracks of an inch sometimes, fill a backpack w groceries, and ride back? I’m in the heart of downtown and if so it can be my transpo. But a back-ack may make impossible to balance
Hi and thanks for the video. I have been looking for a board to upgrade to and have been looking at the Backfire G2. The board I have now is stiff and from what I hear that's best at higher speeds. Not that I go fast but just have more control. I know you probably don't have anything to compare it to but how would you rate it? Is it really flexible or do you think it does just fine. Also I recall you saying it has that regenerative breaking. I don't recall reading that but that's really cool if it does have that. Wondering if you know that as a fact. Once again thanks for the video and ride safe!!!!!!!!!! :)
Thanks for watching! I don't have a comparison for the board flexibility. I've heard that the more expensive ones are more agile but less stable. As a beginner, stability sounded good to me LOL. The regenerative breaking is real. So much so that if you have a full battery, they warn you not to do lots of downhill until your battery drains a bit. Apparently you can over charge the battery if you do.
Yes!! Me too, stability!! I looked it up and it does have regererative braking. That is really cool! I'm probably going to go with this board, I will double my distance from my old board. And looking for a longer one. So, once again thanks for the video, it was a big help.
"i cant imagine having a 1500 dollar skateboard" youll find out after about 6 months of riding it lol you just want MOREEE hahahaha I have the g2black also and ive been craving for more speed once i got used to the board lol and plus, if you start going on group rides, youre going to want a bigger battery so your crew doesnt leave you lol
You sold me on my first board. I loved snow boarding but hate the cold. This looks awesome and I appreciate seeing someone close to my age using it.

I will look into hip protectors! I didn't know they existed
If you’re worried about falling over the cloud wheels are good 105mm wheels are awesome
Thanks for the tip!

3 miles no problems. The cracks may make things stressful
