This was one of the most impactful conversations I’ve ever heard. I can’t tell you how it touched my heart and gave me comfort and hope. For so much of my life I’ve felt the pain of guilt and regret even though intellectually I know that God forgives and loves me. So many things said here today resonated with me. Thank you, both, for your ministries. God bless you.

Isn’t it incredible when God moves us from an “intellectual” place, to the freeing place of “knowing and receiving” deep into the soul! It’s also wonderful to know your heart remains open to receive all Jesus has for your healing. Grace upon grace!

Here's a contradiction. The gospel of Matthew has Jesus being born in or before 4 BC when Herod the Great ruled Judaea. In Luke's gospel Jesus is born in 6 AD under the reign of Quirinius. Here are the facts. Herod the Great died in 4 BC, his son Archelaus took reign over Judaea from 4 BC to 6 AD, then in 6 AD Caesar Augusta removed Archelaus from his reign over Judaea. Then Caesar Augusta install Quirinius as governor of Syria with authority over Judaea. Just knowing the succession alone proves Jesus was born at 2 different times. It's impossible for Jesus to be born both when Herod the Great was alive and also be born when Quirinius was governor of Syria with authority over Judaea. The fact that we do know the dates means there's a 10 year difference when Jesus was born which is logically impossible.

Let me get this straight. The gospels talk about Jesus being born of a virgin. It talks about Jesus claiming to be God. It talks about Jesus being raised from the dead. But you are tripping over the year he was born?

Besides, this isn't even what the podcast is about. What kind of an ass comes on to comment on a podcast about people hurting and needing a place to go, and then starts throwing rocks at them?

@@mikegant5453 I am merely pointing out that the gospel’s are unreliable. In Matthew’s nativity story they go to Egypt for 2 years while in Luke’s gospel nativity story they go back home to Nazareth.
Then we have the story in Matthew’s gospel about the dead raising from their graves, walking around and meeting with the living people in Jerusalem. Not only is this story not found in the other gospels, it’s not found anywhere else. Of course if this alleged incident really happened it would have been recorded by many, not just in Jerusalem but all throughout the Middle East at the very least. But it’s not recorded anywhere else except in the gospel of Matthew. That’s because it never happened. And if we find fake stories like this in the gospel’s then how can we trust anything else that’s in them. After all the gospels are just hearsay stories passed down in Aramaic before being translated and written down in Ancient Greek. We don’t accept hearsay testimony in court because of how unreliable it is but that’s exactly what the gospel’s are. We have hearsay problems, translation problems, no eyewitnesses, no original copies so we have copying problems. Who knows how many times the stories changed either by accident or intentional( a common practice during this time period). There’s no good evidence that Jesus rose from the dead or was born of a virgin(another common claim during this time period). If you can provide even one good piece of evidence then I listen, but if you can’t I am going to hold off believing on such poor evidence.

@@SalemK-ty4ti I'm so glad that you're here two thousand years later to point all this out to us. It's not like we have Scholars and apologists who have already answered your questions a thousand times already. Maybe we should all just turn out the lights, lock the doors, and go home. But as long as we are begging the question, I find it highly unlikely that all the apostles, many fairly uneducated, were martyred trying to keep their lie going. Some of the smartest and most powerful men in the United States during Watergate couldn't do it. But I'm sure that you doubt any of the Traditions that say they were martyred. Hearsay, right?
All jokes aside, I sincerely hope that you read the book that you are so critical of. I hope you see the Christ that it points to on every page. For there is no other name in heaven or on Earth through which we can be saved.

@@mikegant5453 I’m just pointing out facts. Like the fact that other religions have martyrs also. Just because there are Hindu martyrs doesn’t make their religion true. Oh but when people of other religions die for their beliefs you just ignore these facts because it conflicts with your beliefs.
Can you please give me just one GOOD piece of evidence why you believe?
Oh, by the way in the past Christians and their leaders would put to death atheists, especially ones like me for pointing out these facts. Even now Christians will spread lies about atheists saying lies like we just want to sin. The reason I don’t believe is because there is zero good evidence to warrant belief. You think martyrs is good evidence but when I point out the fact that other religions also have martyrs you don’t accept that evidence. That’s called a double standard and it’s fallacious reasoning. If martyrdom was an actual good reason then you would need to believe in every religion with them. But since we know using logic and reasoning that at best only one could possibly be true then we must eliminate martyrdom as good evidence.
