This looks incredible. So creative. I love that the fairies give you power-ups, like in Spyro 1, and I love that they have distinct designs to tell you which ones they give. All of this just for a hub world makes me really excited to see the actual levels.
The folks building this absolutely know what they're doing. The music, the colors... this is already so good, and it just keeps getting better! Immense props to the team building this thing! Glad to hear you had a good time in Japan! If all goes to plan, I may get to visit this fall for a few days. I've heard nothing but good things about the visitor experience!

Kinda unrelated but something I realized: There's a program on Steam called Lossless Scaling which is useful for upscaling windowed games to fullscreen and also for using framegen to increase framerate. This works in both bordered windows and borderless windows. As such, this could be used on a PS1 emulator to play classic games such as the old PS1 Spyro games at 60+ fps. I've known about the program for quite some time now but the idea of using it to up the framerate for old PS1 games just clicked for me. Of course, it is through framegen technology so it's kind of "faking" it, and as such not only does it not reduce input latency but it might even actually increase it. Higher multipliers will also introduce more screen artifacts, though simply doing x2 to get to 60fps should have fairly minimal artifacting and input delay.
I Hope this project came around in full swing. I dont wanna see like myth awakens Got in hiatus development since 5.2 dev build. But in regardless goodluck on your content.

There is only one way to make PS1 Spyro darker and edgier. And that is to make DEATH...... canon. What I mean is do not EVER bring back Ripto or Sorceress. No, seriously, do NOT bring them back. Because doing so just shows death is a joke. Why yes, Cynder is popular. Or so I heard.
Well, technically, all Ripto, Gulp and Crush survived the battles. All seemingly canon, given its found in the epilogue once you gain all skill points. So I wouldnt mind ripto in some capacity. The Sorceress have seemingly bit the dusto.
Hey Fissure, just so you know, you played this making the same mistake that I did. The intended design for this level, well, the entire game, is that you play it with the Distance Fade setting turned off. I understand why you had it toggled on, as I did for the same reason, but you were basically playing this level on easy mode with the visibility being so high, and you also miss out on a significant aspect of the atmosphere as well. Just something to keep in mind!
Terry would like to know why Activision canceled a Crash 5 that was going to include Spyro Crossover 🤣😂 I can sense a company that needs to take better care of their IP'S so BITE ME Activision Lawyers 😅
OMG people is still coping about Spyro 4. It's never going to happen, people just can't wait until Craptivision does something about it, no sane person is left to work on it. I'm just waiting for people to drop their own fangames as this franchise and Crash Bandicoot are both Doomed comercially.

I like that Spyro talks in this. He felt like a silent protagonist in 2 and 3 outside of the cutscenes, which was kinda inconsistent.
iam more enthousiast for this game than for official spyro 4 because this game uses ths same grafhics from the other 3 spyro playstation 1 games
