Elisa's senior project revolved around the creation of mycelium flooring, aiming to establish a greener substitute for concrete and cement. Her objective was to enhance the sustainability of the construction industry while minimizing its energy consumption.
Drawing upon the insights and skills acquired from her coursework in the Structural Properties track, Engineering track, and her major - Energy and Flow track, Elisa adeptly applied a variety of techniques to conduct a diverse range of tests for her project. Her collaboration with her UCR Supervisor, Gudrun Kocher-Oberlehner, involved regular meetings to guide her project's progress.
Elisa's aspirations extend towards a Master's degree in Sustainable Energy, with a specific focus on Solar Energy.
