I will also be doing a full cutting comparison video on both chains soon. Having used this new setup for a few hours already all i can say is WOW what a difference. Cheers for watching 👍
Hello Sir, always enjoy your videos because you tell your viewers everything that's necessary to know about whatever your working on or testing and nothing that they don't need to hear, like so many other channels just flapping their gums but not providing any relevant or useful information. Just wanted to let you know that bud! Thank you for your consideration and knowledge.
@@AllGoodOutside Cheers, i try and keep it informative but I do end up waffling too much at times 😅. I'm slowly getting better at editing as well so trying to cut out all the nonsense. 👍
Hello! How is the tensioning? Does the bar with chain get loose often? I’ve seen few reviews for this chainsaw with this particular problem with loosening and even jumping the chain off the rail. But I guess that’s more of a user error by not tightening the sprocket cover screw enough rather than design flaw. Do you encounter these issues as well?
Seems to be oiling fine, at least there are not too many teeth to sharpen on this little chain 😅. I need to start making my own chain i recon, the panther unguarded mini chain cuts well 👍
@@RJLmachinery due to this discrepancy, the wear of both the star and the chain will be increased, the load on the saw motor will also be increased, and the chain itself will not be able to tighten normally, because in some positions of the star the chain will sag a little, and in some it will be too tight that the engine will not be able to turn it , as it was when you first set the chain to the tire with this 9t sprocket.

@@RJLmachinery excellent, thank you again for the fine videos bud!
I'm a nurse its 2:00 in the morning and I've never used a chainsaw BUT if I ever need to change the chain on a makita I now know. Enjoyed the vid
😂nice one 👍
Seems like a good plan. Could you specify the parts required for the conversion, so that I can order the right bits from chainsawbars, thanks.
Search for panther mini conversion kit on there, it comes with all you need.
So very helpful! Thank you so much!
👍
What is the part number for the sprocket please mate
Did you have an Amazon link or anything for the pitch conversion stuff you put in?
No sorry, prob not available on amazon.

Nope havent had any issues with the chain tension, mines been fine 👍
@RJLmachinery Glad to hear that! Thank you for the response.
Where does the chain oil go?
Ok. Now I see it’s on other side!
Does it eat batteries?
@@Tuffjobs Battery life seems pretty good, haven't noticed it eating them 👍
Where do we get the conversion kit from please?
Chainsawbars
how is the oiling now?
More 1/4 to sharpen...
I'm looking for spool of .43 non safety chain.
cheers

Hello,
Is it possible on pruning saw MAKITA DUC101Z to change 10 cm guide bar with 15 cm, which is from DUC150Z model?
Yes its possible, i will be converting mine very soon 👍
Is there any charge level indicator?
No not on the actual tool, but if you use the newer batteries they come with a charge level indicator.
You put the new chain on the original bar?
Yep, its same size groove, plus the bar doesnt have a sprocket so the chain pitch doesnt matter.
That's good to know thanks!@@RJLmachinery
How much TG has your new 1/4 chain?
Whats TG?
this star is not for this chain, you need a star for 1/4 picco and you have a regular star for 1/4 chains.
Whats the difference?

This chain and sprocket combo was put together by a professional chainsaw chain company. It fits fine. Find me the correct 1/4 sprocket?
anoying thank you.
Over 250$ for the set, while a chineese 74$ one do the job... no thank you.
Cheap ones replaced every 6 months 😂 no thank you.
@@RJLmachinery They are not replaced every 6 months for sure if you buy the proper brand.
could you provide a link for the chinese ones on AliExpres?
@@MrDelgrigorov Makita IS the proper brand.
