Just found your channel and really enjoyed your video. It bought back tons of memories of the 90s for me. Between 1989 and 1996 I worked on numerous video games magazines and TV shows and we’d regularily get sent games to review weeks before they were in the shops. This meant most of the games I got back in the day never had boxes and were sometimes just the raw chips that we had to mount on special boards and insert into consoles. Your videos have inspired me to dig out all my old stuff I was sent as a member of the video games press that I’ve not seen for 30 years. I know I’ve got some amazing stuff in my cupboards hidden away lol. Looking forward to the weekend 😁
Wipeout 2097 is a must have for the PlayStation. It's a iconic game and there was a recent documentary about it's soundtrack on TH-cam. I loved playing this game on a CRT back in the day, it just felt epic driving around in futuristic vehicles racing on tracks against others, it's alot of fun. Perhaps not the best racing game ever, but it's still one of the better futuristic racing games on the PS1.
When I was working on a TV show I did an item about Wipeout and the company sent me about 100 A5 original artworks from the design of the game to use on TV. I kept them and they’ve been in my mums loft for 30 years! I need to dig them out again lol.
That iridion 3d for gba at 16:50 Love exclusive titles. And it looks like a cool shoot em up. Hard to find those complete like that. Never heard of this title though.
As someone who is a bit younger (21) and my first game console being a Wii, I find watching these videos a breath of fresh air, really enjoy watching these. Thank you.
If you have the other parts of a JAMMA system then JAMMA boards might be worth getting like Lucky Today, Space Invaders, Pac Man, XAXXON and many other are available.
I used to own the vhs of rocketeer movie as a kid. Loved the movie as a kid with Timothy dalton as the bad guy 😂 Jennifer Connelly also. You should give it a watch if you’ve never seen it before.
Great finds Gemma. I’m curious, if you want to tell me, how much is your game Collection worth? I use the app on price charting to keep track of how many games I have and how much it’s worth. I’m a few dollars away from 75,000 dollars. Of course I didn’t pay near that cause I started seriously collecting around 2002. So I got most of my retro games for practically nothing, people were basically just giving their stuff away. lol.
Wow, just stumbled across your channel. Love nostalgia gaming. Love doing this kind of stuff in CEX. Great you like the Wipeout series which have always been my favourite games, graphics, music, seeing the improvement over the years on improved consoles, Wipeout HD is still my all time favourite game and still holds up to this day. Keep up the good work, excellent presentation and certainly an infectious personality. New subscriber 😁👍🕹️🎮
I have WipeOut in an original double case (it has the orange soundtrack sticker). There's one on eBay with a poor condition sticker currently but its starting bid is £110-which is too much!
If you play the rocketeer and have trouble with the flying race. ONLY LOOK AT THE TINY MAP ON THE BOTTOM. This will help you judge where your plane is and help you control it. Looking at the actual planes flying is impossible to control.
I've never heard of Rocketeer before. Ah, that minty fresh attack smell😂I love Sonic Chaos. I remember completing that in one sitting on my auntie's Game Gear back in the day😊Great video as always Gemma
Hi there Gemma I'm from Portugal i came across your channel nyc little shop you went to i see you were in the ps1 section looking for wipeout double case i have one with both manuals in crisp condition not easy to find in the wild rare game it wasn't cheap mine i had to bargain with the owner i paid 95 erous good luck finding it
It's crazy that they had multiple copies of Shenmue 2 on the Dreamcast. That was super rare at some point. You should play that, Gemma. Ducati World isn't very good, but, back in the day, I still purchased it and finished it. I had Metal Gear on the NES, back in the day. It's funny to see Snake depicted as Michael Biehn from The Terminator/Aliens on the boxart. Thank you for the great video!
I remember seeing Rocketeer in the video rental shop when I was a kid. I don’t think it was rented much.. always sitting in the same spot on the shelf. I figured I had never seen the movie so I wouldn’t like the game. Haha
I still have my original, first release PS3 60GB console, and I have never had any issues with it (unlike the 2 XBOX360 paperweights I own), and it is still functioning well to this day!
Ironically.. the only broken console i have is a first gen Ps3, but both x360's runs flawlessly. XD I do however have a working ps3 as well, so all good.
The Rocketeer wasn't a great SNES game but does have some neat parts from the movie. There was a Space Mega Force aka Super Aleste in that loose super nintendo case and that game rules if you ever go to that shop again and its still there.
I need that Metal Gear. I'm trying to collect all the Konami silver box games, and I need all the European versions. Tough to find when I live in the states.
King of Monsters looks very amazing for the SNES which is much cheaper than the Neo Geo AES version which is way too bloody expensive!! Thanks for sharing Gem!
That store was amazing loads of grest games in stock, not too keen seeing them in vhs boxes prefer them in the original snes boxes. They have a copy of metal gear on the NES in my local cex it looks great i would buy it if i had a NES
Fantastic finds Gemma 🤘 Love vintage gaming! Currently gaming on a pS4, but I'd never part with my Megadrive, N64, PlayStation, Xbox, Gamecube and 360. Gutted I got rid of my SNES (to buy PlayStation back in the day) and Dreamcast. Good call on the Milky Way 👍
Had a new Lara Croft 1996 Game Shop figure of 1.70m and it is awsome so i totaly get your passion of Game Hunting here gets me exited to go out again to get some loot ;)
Some great stores there!!! I had that Fist of the Northstar when I was a teen, love it when I see it in the wild. The Rocketeer on SNES is decent, the flying in the beginning is annoying…I honestly prefer the NES version 🤷🏼♂️ Great vid madam, will try to catch up on more!!!

One of my pet peeves is when things don't have a price on them. I don't want to be bugging the owner every 30 seconds to ask the price of things.
Theirs a reason they arent priced lol
