I rarely leave comments on YT, but just wanna say I do appreciate these in-depth build guides. I'm having an absolute blast playing your Falling Thunder build, and I eventually plan on transitioning to this Flicker build. Flicker strike was the most fun I've ever had in poe1 before they gutted it, and this reminds me of how much I enjoyed playing it in poe1, so again thank you and I'm looking forward to your min-maxed version of this build!
I almost tried every flicker build there is and yours is the most comfortable and affordable. Also the best imo. Looking forward to any updates you have. Keep up, great job!
@@Ezoluna this is the best flicker build out there imo, you can tweak one skill like gf or gd at lower waystones for cast on freeze and an elemental spell or something if you want more passive damage
@Ezoluna yes but didnt invested as much time compared to this. If you're an experienced poe player give it a try. This build is the most beginner friendly imo and its going strong on t15 and bosses for now. But i dont recommend snobae's built since it is too advanced and hard to get a grip on imo
8:40 One point as well that I think doesn't get addressed enough. With the one notable inside the Quarterstaff cluster, where it gives you the effect of an extra power charge spent, its technically more efficient to flicker once you get any number of charges, cause you will always get an extra 2 hits. So if you always use flicker at 1 charge, you are still maximizing the number of flicks per second
if you don't have enough spirit for all defensives would you recommend Wind dancer or Grim Feast? the shield on Grim feast seems like it would be really helpful. I'm lvl 70 but still dying a ton in T2 maps.
Any tips on gem swap for boss? Would love to hear some of that. Even though I can dodge most of the boss mechanics, it's still good to have better boss damage. Thanks!
When is it best to target hybrid armours with Evasion/Shield instead of full evasion body (such as studded vest)? Does the invoker trait not matter as much? As a new player I think gearing has been the biggest headache and knowing what to aim for
Ive been following this build specifically since youve uploaded the fist and made some tweaks myself, im like lvl 75 atm and put cold damage on chaged staff and lightning on flicker, you get cold proc from charged staff in flicker anyway and when you are just thrwing your tf/cs combo out you are freezing everything and i have cast on freeze with eye of winter instead of ghost dance but i feel that il likely need that energy shield soon and i cant even tell if eye of winter is doing anything because i kill everything so fast. Also isnt martial tempo a waste on flicker? feels unecessary, feels alot nicer having it on TF with alot of attack speed on gear. I am by no means a poe2 expert though just throwing my thoughts out there
You think frenzy is a better route to take for more consistent faster charges than reapers with profane? I personally like the idea of having them auto generate with frenzy. But I feel as if they do not come in fast enough, yet I’m freezing and electrocuting and have the unique gloves that turn 100% fire into cold damage so I am freezing everything I touch.
To make flicker strike work consistently require some few divine especially the unique necklace. Dont get bait by these videos not highlighting the reality of flicker strike builds...
@@Nytukas a lot of people don't understand yet that the trade site improperly values Divines, it still thinks div's are worth like 25ish exalts. So a lot of people aren't filtering their items by exalt cost first before going into the items that cost divines even tho they are actually much less.
I don't know how much it costs now but I bought a large ring timeless ruby with "Large Notables gives rage on melee hit" line for 100ex a couple of days ago and slotting it into a spot with just 3 large notables gives me 30 rage in a very short time on tempest fury.

@@Milkybk_ Yeah but it just seems like it doesnt affect the damage or anything really. I would put it on flicke 100% if i felt it was actually beneficial because it just seems dope lol but you are tping and attacking instantly anyway whilst youre losing an insane amount of dps on your CS/TF
so why do you take the 15% extra damage per ailments over the ones that give 30% elemental damage if youve inflicted shocked/chilled just above the first power charge nodes, i feel the 60% extra damage is quite nice esspecially against bosses plus the 30 odd elemental damage you pick up while getting the shock and freeze nodes.
i just switch tot his from fallen thunder which i was dominating lvl 10 maps with... and i notice i dont kill the mobs and i dont have any lighting going off when i flicker.... im assuming thats because i dont have enough cold damage? what am i doing wrong.

Primarily pick DEX - But Some of the Gems you need a certain amount of INT -- So just change which ever Nodes to INT - But prioritise DEX where you can, You only need enough Int for the gems :)
U moved cold i infusion and ice bite to herald from charged staff. Is that improved dmg? Im using falling Thunder and wondering is it better to freeze with herald. Also I dont have enough freeze so im sitting on shattering palm
Move your cold damage to charged staff, cold infusion, primal armament, ice bite and glaciation. Electrocute, lightning infusion and neural overload to herald of thunder. And conduction and innervate to tempest flurry. Ditch shattering palm and get freeze build up on tree. I got 0 cold damage on gear and in freezing like crazy with this setup, herald of ice procs a lot since we are freezing with charged staff, helping so much with clear. I also got cast on freeze with freezing mark. You will absolutely destroy your maps even with delirium and breach. For bossing swap to cast on shock with sniper mark, eye of winter and chain, your bell will melt them.
Considering that you are using Herald of Thunder for most freeze-kills, wouldn't it make more sense to use Cast on Freeze with Profane Ritual for charge generation in order to keep on flickering? And for bosses, you could just have a second weapon setup that you can switch to for Combat Frenzy version.
@@chynonm You misunderstood, what I meant was, use CoF with Profane without the keystone for mapping, and then use the second weapon set for bossing by making it so that the keystone is active then.
Love your builds, honestly found your vids because I was searching for something similar to what I was doing. But damn do I absolutely detest the loot/crafting in this game. It's so frustrating when I roll those super low rank 1 rolls. 99.99% of the gear in this game is trash, and I don't even have near as good gear as you do.
Does anyone feel like monk power charge gain in partys is almost 0 ? i run in front of the line, do a bunch of hits that on single player i get plenty of charges but in party it doesn't work almost at all... (i don't have the amulet, build works without it clearly, but with it i bet it's much better)
I listened to someone saying I should Vaal my 3 slot skill gems to make them 4 slot. Well I made my only good quality gem, Tempest Flurry, into a 2 slot instead. Effectively throwing away all of the gem quality upgrades my lvl 74 character received so far. I choose to keep the 2 slot for now, because a quality Flurry makes fat beams. They look nice so whatever I guess. Still slapping them silly with holding down mouse 1. I even put the regen shield when stunned -support on Flurry. Because I'm just holding it down, and if I get bonked while doing that then my huge shield will just regen. There's certainly enough damage, would be even if I replaced Flurry with auto attack.

I'm still not understanding the spirit aspect. After i did my first 2 ascendant challenges and put the points in, my spirit is locked to 120. If i take the points back out, i have more. Yet looking at yours, you have the points in, and your spirit is over 200. I'm missing something.
Idk what ur issue is but monk has a node which gives 1 spirit per 15 evasion on your chest. So lets say u need 200 spirit. 200-100 ( u already have a 100 after doing the story ) then u need 100 spirit times 15 that equals 1500. U need a chest piece armor with at least 1500 evasion. Edit: The catch is u can't get any spirit from the things u equip.
@davailama1808 I'm guessing that's what it is then. Probably lower level chest piece. I know i have +spirit on pieces of gear, so probably when I take the points out, it gives me the additive spirit I have on other pieces. Thanks man. Just needed a different perspective!
@@Hexenvalor87 You need a chest with atleast like 1.2k evasion rating along with the ascendancys and correct passives and they are only avaliable past level 67 unless you want to be some ridiculous price edit: you cant get spirit from any other armour except you chest piece evasion rating being converted to spirit with this build but its op and you basically just need 1 big chest item and the ight nodes and ascendancys. i have herald of thunde+ice+combat frenzy+wind dancer with spirit to spare and all i have is one chest with 1,5k evasion
@@Hexenvalor87 Correct read it again slowly the Passive, 1 Spirit for every 15 Evasion ONLY on Chest and 1 spirit per 6 Energy Shield ONLY on chest piece - So minimum you need a chest with at least 700 Evasion which gives around 46/47 spirit an around 375 Energy Shield for around 57/58 - Then with the 100 from campaign you're looking at around 200 Spirit :)
says endgame build and greater jewel orbs aren't that expensive. By the time you are regularly clearing T13+ maps you should be dropping enough exalts to afford a couple pretty quick. If you get a lucky divine drop then you can buy two
Cherry picked videos making flickerstrike nearly endless without so many breaks. Nah, not so interested. Charged staff is just too potent that currently its not viable to throw them all away on flicker and getting stuck every 2-3 seconds.
Fun build, especially in juiced maps where you can actually Flicker cause there’s enough mobs

I have been doing this! And yet sometimes it lasts longer than if I’m on say, 5, 6, or even 7 charges.

Yeh single target bosses is the only issue here, as you can’t electrocute them. But I love it otherwise

There is an endurance charge gain support but youll need to use stagger palm skill
